XnoobX, why would you refuse to post the part of the email that proves you turned him down? That makes no sense.

It seems to me you have a chance to exonerate yourself, at least partially, and you're not taking it. It makes it look like you're hiding something. If it were me, I'd do everything in my power to clear my name.
