If you were scamming members not saying you would but if you did we would shut you down. so I believe it's only right if a member is trying to scam you they should be delt with accordingly .

Is a member nomination to difficult to do? One member nominates, somebody else seconds it. Then a 7 day vote with a 2/3s to get the title? That my be to difficult.You'll know him when you see him. He's a real asshole. Or so I've heard.
I'm not sure any automated title process would keep things clean.
It's not really the sources that are suffering from it. They get their advertisement . It greases their pockets just fine. But it's the new guys that don't understand what's happening , that suffers.
I think people deserve some credit for the time they put in here. If not they will just spread there self thin, on every bb site.
But there needs to be some imput by members for the top titles. If not we will get more of the same.

The credit given is teaching another how to cycle or discuss training strategies or dietary needs. Or any topic in between. Keep passing it along. Alot of value here and this place has been a big part of my journey and likely will continue to be. I dont know of any finer credit given than see some one else succeed due to lessons learned here.

I will never put that much time in, but some do. I can see it being important to them. It's the same principle stores use with their points cards, it makes you choose them because you get something in return. Some guys will start posting at other boards when they loose their invested incentive.

With hierarchy comes a sense of authority and entitlement most of the time. And in turn can potentially come counterproductive and/or abused.
@Millard Baker took away Mods years ago so this board would not become censored or controlled by those that might have ulterior motives. I'm sure other reasons were took into consideration when doing so as well. He can elaborate if he feels the need.
I do agree with you that it's nice to have credit when credit is due. Hell @bigpoppachump just gave me a great pick me up and some credit just by writing down his appreciation. That's what it's all about. Passing on our info and knowledge to those that want to learn regardless of titles.
What other ideas do you have @Mrhat39 to make this work. I think it's good to point this stuff out.

Well look at CBS for example. He has put in a lot of work over the years. Plus lots of time, he's been gone for a bit and starts posting again. He may not know the the new guys, but more than that, they may not know him. He deserves a certain amount of respect just for what he's accomplished. I think people can understand that. He doesn't deserve a crown, but a little check mark by his name, doesn't hurt.

Ive only been here a few years and i dont know all the wkm's. Sometimes a wkm that hasnt posted here in a long time comes back. Id assume this person or persons were new to the forum if not for their tag or start date. As far as being treated differently, that shouldn't matter but someone with an awesome member tag will absolutely get a better more respectful response than someone with a junior member tag. It's not perfect but its better than nothing.
I agree with your concerns, but regarding WKMs/awesome members getting more respectful responses - I can think of plenty of recent threads (from junior members) where this was not the case.
Although nominations and voting may turn into a popularity contest... I like this idea.

Just don't judge the Navy because of one idiot....I served 20 yrs and retired and will say this... in many aspects it's no different than anywhere else, you meet all kinds of different people and work with them as well. I was personally embarrassed by that thread for several reasons including him playing the I'm a vet card for some implied privilege or favoritism in my opinion... I won't call for his being banned but man if there ever was a case for one that was it

All join date means is you know Meso. People seem to assume that when someone joins Meso they are just entering the world of AAS. We have members that have been at this since the 80s, just because they join last week doesn't mean they have no knowledge.
Then you have 3 longtime members, one who secretly sources, one who was a member for 10 years with no use, and one who has a breakdown every 6 months.
YES, there should be some sort of system BUT no matter what it is there will be issues. Just like on every other site. In the end members have to use their common sense and if they don't have any then that's their issue.
