Dude, try the motion without even a weight! Seriously, just try it! Tell me you don't feel that tight pump in your tris even without a weight! I was shocked.... Seriously, something so simple changed so much for me. Years and years and years of training and a simple movement of the hand changed a fundamental workout for me, forever.Never been a fan of standard kick backs either. I'll give these a shot. Need another pump move for triceps that I can't drop on my head. The last few FST7 sets get a bit interesting doing overhead extensions.
Oh, yes! I have done those! Very great exercise, I didn't know the name!It is like a t-bar but done standing and with one hand.
Tried with a 45lb plate and after 8 reps each hand my chest burned! Also much less stress on my shoulders too, especially my right one.Oh, yes! I have done those! Very great exercise, I didn't know the name!
Just grabbed the wife's dbs and pumped a few. The hand position definitely changes the stimulation. Really pumps that inner head (long head? My anatomy sucks). Gets a good burn going.Dude, try the motion without even a weight! Seriously, just try it! Tell me you don't feel that tight pump in your tris even without a weight! I was shocked.... Friends,
I come to you with something that I believe can help take your training to the next level.
Last night I tried John Meadows' version of tricep kickbacks. I have always found regular kickbacks to be largely overrated and didn't give me a whole lot. Well, these are game changers. I encourage everyone of you guys, beginner or advanced to try this variation... Just do it for me, once! Grab a 10-15lb DB, nothing more and hit 5 sets of 8 to feel it out. Do not cheat, as you're only cheating yourself. Enjoy-
That's awesome to hear, I love it! If your gym has a leverage squat machine (see below pic) try standing underneath it and doing overhead presses with it. Place your hands where your shoulders should be and press up and out. I finish a lot of my chest/shoulder days with a pyramid to a drop on it. Promise that the angle change will be a BURNER!Tried with a 45lb plate and after 8 reps each hand my chest burned! Also much less stress on my shoulders too, especially my right one.
Keep your back flat and those elbows up for sure! That made a huge difference for me. It took me maybe 2 sets to get the form right.Just grabbed the wife's dbs and pumped a few. Watching that video is quite informative and demonstrates the form quite well.Keep your back flat and those elbows up for sure! That made a huge difference for me. It took me maybe 2 sets to get the form right.
Looking to try that variation, as regular skullcrushers with ez bar kills my elbowsTry the same finishing twist with DB skull crushers. Same effect and adds a whole new aspect to the exercise
John Meadows posts all of his workouts on his youtube channel. Obviously it doesn't have the programs for his clients, but he links every exercise in his plan to the youtube video for a form check. I would recommend scrolling though some, you might pick up a thing or two... I sure did.Watching that video is quite informative and demonstrates the form quite well.
I normally like to switch up between laying flat/ incline / decline as well. It puts pressure on your elbows at different points so you may find one that is more comfortable than anotherLooking to try that variation, as regular skullcrushers with ez bar kills my elbows
I do them flat so will try incline and decline ones as well to see what works. Thanks for the suggestion.I normally like to switch up between laying flat/ incline / decline as well. It puts pressure on your elbows at different points so you may find one that is more comfortable than another
I might download some to my phone so I can review the technique of each exercise when I am at the gym.John Meadows posts all of his workouts on his youtube channel. Highly recommend his "ab death" routine.
Nice idea! I just pull up the Youtube video on my iPhone.I might download some to my phone so I can review the technique of each exercise when I am at the gym.
I have an Android, and there are YT downloader apps around for that and iPhone as well, so that I can keep them on my phone's SD card.Nice idea! I just pull up the Youtube video on my iPhone.
