On cycle, gaining muscle, getting stronger, but not really gaining weight???

Took a couple years off from gym (for muscle recovery ). Actually lifted nothing but beers. Got up to about 270. Very fat. Before took time off was a very trim 240. 5'10". Started working out hard again 9 months ago, also went on TRT, & got down to about 225 from 270. Probably 16-18% BF. Was eating 1500-2000 calories a day, lifting like crazy, & doing hours of cardio a day, but could not get below 225. Was a bit nervous to start cycle at this weight, as I wanted to put some muscle back on & know I have to eat. 6 weeks into ~500mg/wk Sust cycle now. Been eating 4-5K calories a day, am putting on size, getting stronger, and pants are getting looser in the waste. I seem to be losing more fat now, but am doing almost no cardio. Not complaining, but I was always a believer that you could reduce BF % while on cycle (meaning putting on MORE muscle than fat), but you couldn't put on muscle and lose fat. My weight has only increased to 227, but I am leaner and bigger. Trying to gain muscle now, but stay below 240... As the plan is to finish this cycle on 2/15, get down to 220 by 4/15 & start 75mg/day prop, EQ, and Winny last 4 weeks to cut for summer. I am certainly not complaining, but anyone have any thoughts on this? Possible that an increase in muscle mass has jumpstarted my metabolism?

Cardio doesn't burn body fat and muscle gains have a really minimal impact on your TDEE. It's probably glycogen stores filling up, possibly a reduction in water retention, and some increased muscle mass making you appear leaner.

Your probably just trading weight . Fat/water is reduced , muscle mass is increased , weight is the same . Sometimes the scales dont tell the whole story , thats where a paper tape comes in handy . If you have excess to a "Bodpod" this will tell you your precise muscle/water/fat ratio .

I just put in my contacts... The scale actually says 327. DAMN. Kidding, but both your explanations make sense. Thanks. Tape says I am getting bigger, and def not fat, so I should Prob just be happy. Where would one find a Bodypod? Know my gym doesn't have one.

Go to google and type in BodPod + your city. It'll come up with a list of ones close to you. Dexa scan is another option and probably the gold standard but BodPods are very reliable too
