Took a couple years off from gym (for muscle recovery
). Actually lifted nothing but beers. Got up to about 270. Very fat. Before took time off was a very trim 240. 5'10". Started working out hard again 9 months ago, also went on TRT, & got down to about 225 from 270. Probably 16-18% BF. Was eating 1500-2000 calories a day, lifting like crazy, & doing hours of cardio a day, but could not get below 225. Was a bit nervous to start cycle at this weight, as I wanted to put some muscle back on & know I have to eat. 6 weeks into ~500mg/wk Sust cycle now. Been eating 4-5K calories a day, am putting on size, getting stronger, and pants are getting looser in the waste. I seem to be losing more fat now, but am doing almost no cardio. Not complaining, but I was always a believer that you could reduce BF % while on cycle (meaning putting on MORE muscle than fat), but you couldn't put on muscle and lose fat. My weight has only increased to 227, but I am leaner and bigger. Trying to gain muscle now, but stay below 240... As the plan is to finish this cycle on 2/15, get down to 220 by 4/15 & start 75mg/day prop, EQ, and Winny last 4 weeks to cut for summer. I am certainly not complaining, but anyone have any thoughts on this? Possible that an increase in muscle mass has jumpstarted my metabolism?
