another shoulder injury

I can't get symmetric growth working both sides :(

Very sorry about your shoulder. I live with a minor labraltear. Bench is COMPLETELY out for me. Flyes and dips are gtg for chest development, and high rep OHP is all I do for chest/shoulder development. Not worth lifting heavy anymore IMO. But yes I do miss it. I KNOW IT REALLY SUX. But at least you are in the position to get it fixed.

I've gained 45lbs since getting out of prison last Feb, and as a result have accrued numerous injuries due to lacking connective tissue strength. I cannot even BW squat atm (PFS) but am able to make gains with step ups, leg ext, LIGHT sumo dead, glute kickback (like a woman) , back hypers, SLDL

Point being I get very, down and depressed every time an injury keeps me outta the gym. But every one of them has recovered enough to let me keep going and I have faith that I will be able to squat 300+ Again this year. I just pulled 315 yesterday and nothing got worse. Patience and positivity.
Thanks man, and sorry about the labral tear. Don't know what it is about bench that makes it worth getting injured, but I can't wait to be able to do it again. Even before I screwed up the shoulder again I mostly did Smith machine OHP where I could control the motion. I would try it in the rack occasionally and always came away with minor neck strains.

Bummer about the symmetric growth. I've been doing a ton of one arm pushups. I like them too much to stop now. I can deal with looking like a fiddler crab, if that's what it takes to keep lifting : )

I always seem to have at least one ligament strain somewhere. The strained trap/lat thing on the good shoulder side is still too painful to do DB rows, so no asymmetrics there for a couple more weeks.

I like your list of leg exercises - except for step ups which hurt my knees. My gym doesn't have a glut machine of any sort, but I do glut kickbacks on the leg extension machine. It "looks" awkward as hell with me hugging the seat instead of sitting in it, but it destroys the gluts.

My shoulder feels better every day. I don't know how much of that I should attribute to the BPC-157, and how much to daily rehab work. But my earlier depression is starting to turn into impatience which I know from experience is a dangerous feeling. That's where all the former addicts on the forum have a distinct advantage. They know how to resist that shit!

Very interested in the bpc-157. Good luck man

I go as low as heavy triples thats it. Single rep all out max lifts are tailor made for injury. And if you haven't been injured yet you haven't been at it long enough

This is so true and I wish I would have followed the advice. I went for heavy singles on... (ashamed to even say it) standing overhead presses for a couple weeks. Nothing happened acutely and I still don;t know what is wrong, but for over a month now I have not been able to train upper body or even move my right arm much without a lot of shoulder pain. I seen the doc twice, got a CAT scan and now waiting for Orthopedic surgeon evaluation to try to determine what is wrong. Going to give some peptides a try, but it would take a miracle. Damn, So dumb of me at 36 to be messing around thinking it matters what I could do for 1 rep overhead, I fuaked up :(

I never shoulda posted in this thread, drank 4 beers and started my RC stretches... Stupid. Hope it's nothing srs. Full range of motion, just aching and weakness under load D: and I was doing so good... Bpc-157 otw

Alcohol and lifting sure don't mix...hope you turn out OK though.

I've always been unsure about how I got the original labral tears, whether it was bench press or doing that RC shoulder stretch with the bar moving overhead front to back with straight arms. I always did the stretch just before or just after doing bench, and I had advanced to the point I could get my hands closer than shoulder width and still do it. The stretching was where I first felt the pain, but I thought it was caused by benching.

I hope yours is just a strain. I'm more than a little convinced bpc157 works on ligament strains, but not sure about tears. Wish I had known to try it before my last surgery.

Similar position as yours. The stretch where the back of your hands are sliding up your back trying to touch your shoulder blades. Def trying bpc-157

Edit: what's your dose? Was thinking 250mcg everyday in delt

Yea, 250mcg site injection. I've read within 4", but I get a lot closer than that.

Doc says RC tear, but going to try PT w/o surgery. Says there is a bio-mechanical issue that should be fixed before anything else. After surgery and PT last time I worked with a trainer who said there was something wrong with the way my shoulder worked that he didn't know how to fix. Maybe that's what he was talking about.

They looked at my knee as well. I've had a knee issue since at least 2010 that I thought was arthritis related. The doc says it's a tight IT band caused by poor hip mobility. Thinks it can be fixed with more PT. I can't deny I'm skeptical.

http://m.fasebj.org/content/28/1_Supplement/844.9 I'm sure it won't

Sure it won't work on a full tear that hasn't been anchored

I used these yesterday to check my RC. Luckily no positive findings. What part of RC are they saying is torn? Some more critical than others
I'm sure she told me that, but I don't remember exactly. She did say it was a minor tear. I have almost full range of motion back, just no strength doing what she called the "belly pull" and the "pocket press".

Belly pull sounds like subscapularis .... What was pocket press? I wanna try it, still convinced I damaged my RC

First day pf PT was nothing like after surgery. The PT "evaluation" stopped just short of a prostate exam. I felt like she was checking more for bone flex than range of motion. She can't weigh more than 100lbs, but already I fear her.

They are splitting the shoulder and knee to different days because of insurance requirements. Today was the knee, and the workout was brutal while using absurdly light weights. It was only brutal from all the unfamiliar moves, so I'm sure I'll adapt pretty quick. The "massage" at the end was more extreme than the evaluation involving lots of heavy quad sheering. I had to grip the sides of the table to keep from leaping off.

Between shoulder and knee I get 4 days a week of this. Might not be getting much gym time. I still plan to squat at least twice a week. Some things are not optional.

Is your knee pain behind and around kneecap? Between 20 degree or more of flexion? Gets worse under load? Patello-Femoral syndrome?
