Way to go out with a bang! There goes that historic career of his. Its all a huge question mark at this point. He could of made more money for the rest of his life by simply being carried out the ring as a loser this time around. I don't follow MMA much this past year or two due to personal reasons but boy did I remember anderson being untouchable for so long.

There's a thread here where Silva talks of harsher penalties for PIED users. Guess he will have to suck this up if it's true. Of course though, it seems the UFC powers that be will ensure the mighty dollar comes first ;)

He tested negative for not having AAS metabolites in his system. So yes, he tested positive.

Not really surprised Diaz tested positive for marijuana. I almost feel sorry for him getting all those suspensions over marijuana.

Yep I just saw this one, shows what substances...he was already acting like this was his last fight when he said he had to talk with his family..im calling it right now...he won't be back!

I wish he had broken his leg again...Diaz was funny and ghetto as hell, fucking around the whole fight. Was boring match anyways...I miss the good old ufc 1-5 days...hahah no classes or rules shit was badass.

I just heard about him failing his test this morning when I was watching sportcenter, and all I could do was laugh, and think of the other thread in this subforum that you posted about him. I agree, he does need to suck it up. From that article, “When the guys test for the steroids, (they should have) no more fights,” Silva said. “When you use the steroids, you use them for a long time. When you use the steroids for a long time, you have a problem. It’s a drug and it’s not good for the sport.”

Looks like Mr. Silva shouldn't have anymore fights then.

Seems the UFC is going to have to address this, otherwise the media hounds and anti drug zealots will seek to out MMA as a drug fuelled, brutal activity for those on the fringe. I already see mainstream sports media struggle to see it as a legitimate sporting code and I imagine positive tests will just add fuel to the fire
 
So he failed for masteron and androstane. Anyone know anything about androstane? I had never heard of it. I'm assuming it's a designer steroid.

The original ufc was aiight... shamrock and tank Abbott and them cats were ok but the fights I enjoyed the most were Griffin/Bonner, Liddell fights, clay guida, koschek and all the anderson Silva fights. That was the golden age for me. I always hated bj Penn... I liked Hughes though. Fuck st pierre's little homo canadian ass too.

Yeah I liked when Ken Shamrock was good, he is from my hometown. Chuck Liddell was awesome and I hate to admit it, I wanted that dumb street fighter to do good, as well as Brock but oh well. I still like a good street fight myself :p
 
When I see Diaz get done for weed it makes me think about the need for pain medication after getting it on for 10-15 mins. I remember first watching the smashing machine and thinking I too would be hooked on meds after getting the shit kicked out of me on a regular basis
 
Remember the Roger Clemens saga? Watching him cry on the stand. Felt bad for him. Of all sports they go after baseball!

Brutus are you out of your mind you never liked gsp, he dominated for about 10 years. One of my homeboys hates him to but gsp patented his game after matt hughes and he used to stand up and beat people down. Bj was sick 7n his prime dude only weighed a buck fifty and beat guys around 300 pounds. But you are right about the first bonner griffin fight that was an epic fight.
