I boil for 9mins, run cold water on them for about 10secs and bounce them around in the pot to crack their shells, then switch to hot/warm water, with the water still running I start to peel/pinch the egg under the water, if you pinch it just right you can get that skin (what I call it) just under the shell to come off with the help of your running water and the water in your pot.
