Feel really wired/jumpy on high callorie diet

Does anyone else feel really jumpy and wired when they eat lots of carbs. Not sugar, I mean carbs of any sort to make up the daily callorie intake?

I do and just wondering what it is.

You feel wired when eating lots of carbs because unless the carbs are insoluble fiber they ALL get converted to SUGAR (glucose) upon digestion.

OK that thought crossed my mind as well LW64.

I'm currently taking in about 1g per pound of protein. I'm trying not to go higher than this (I have in the past with good results) and want to make up the rest of my calories from carbs.

But if my weight is staying the same, and I'm not coping with all the extra carbs (sugar?) what do I do?

I am most definately force feeding myself in order to hit my callories but this is pretty normal I think. I'm basically having 5 meals a day plus a little one before bed.

Meals are consisting of about 50g carbs, 20g protein, some with fat, some without.

I'll sum my diet up a bit more thoroughly.

I weigh about 65kg - just starting out.

I'm getting about 2000 callories per day.

My macros are:
Carbs - 50%
Protein - 30%
Fats - 20%

Normally my protein would be higher but I'm trying to see if I can do it on closer to 1g per pound of protein.

Are my macros the problem?

Another suspect is a food allergy... possibly dairy (whey concentrate and daily dairy intake)

Putting on muscle but weight is not going up.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

How tall are you? Your about 140 to 150lbs. Not sure exactly what your goals are but im going to take a gamble and say its not losing weight. Add another 1500 cals on top of that. And now you can up your protein intake like you wanted. And match other macros.
Or aim for adding 500 cals at a time and go up as you get accustomed to it. Ive never had to forcefeed myself but even one 16oz jar of natty pb has over 2000 cals...

So nearly double my callories?

The problem is I struggle to eat what I'm already eating without feeling sick.

I edited the post instead of being so straight forward..but id aim higher definitely

I dont have an issue with force feeding myself... It's the wired/jumpy feeling I get that is the problem.

This morning I simply could not eat breakfast because my body said "no more food".

Maybe time your carbs better. Everyones body is slightly different. Try timing your carbs around activity so you can make use of the added energy and possible tone down the jittery feeling. Your utilizing the carbs instead of letting them sit and wonder where the hell to go.

Maybe even seperate the fats and do carb only meals so you only have one source of energy. Might help, im not sure, depends on you. Worth a shot.

Yea good idea. I work in an office so am sitting around all day. Good for recovery, but maybe im going over the top with the carbs too close to each other.
