yea. They do overheat, they are not well bred most often. They breed them for big bodies, short legs, blocky heads, and color. Well and they breed them to try to make $$$. They are "show dogs"...you would want an American Pit Bull Terrier, Staffordshire bull terrier, or a Dogo or something if you want high energy and prey drive.
At the point in that dog's life knowing it will attack other dog's, unless you are a professional it would be a large liability. Maybe if you were a single dog household in the country with lots of land to exercise. It's sad that dogs have to get euthanized but it's uneducated to say "don't buy a puppy rescue one" in ALL instances. The real problem is backyard breeders producing dogs from matings that had no business being bred. It's sad, but to fix the problem go after the wanna-be breeders and people that don't spay + neuter responsibly. There are plenty of good companion animals that make awesome pets, doesnt mean you need to breed them though without a history/pedigree.
I have some dog aggressive dogs, great with kids/people and dogs of the opposite sex. Great with dogs of the same sex if they are less "dominant" breeds, my bulldogs can work with other dogs (bay dogs) in a pack to run hogs. Can't be around other bulldogs same sex though. It's all in the breeding and early socialization of the bulldog with the pack. I could go on forever just start a thread if you guys wanna talk bulldogs.
@Ozzy619 frenchies are cool lil fuckers. Remind me of Stitch from that kids movie
