new filtration system needed.

Wanna do bottle top with new vials and everything. I know doc (if your listening, lol) does the bottle top with the hybex glass. Before i purchase wanna make sure this is everything i need and this is correct. Also, i need vials that will fit my labels. 1" tall by 2 5/8 wide. Same as sterile sealed vials.

Hybex 500ml glass media vial
Hybex 500ml Glass Media Bottle (B3000-500)-All Cap Colors

Whatman Zapcap 500ml 33/45mm fitting neck .22micron
500ml Whatman Zapcap Nylon 33/45mm fitting neck- 022 micron
RLS 10ml Moulded Clear Glass Serum Bottle Vials
RLS 10ml Moulded Clear Glass Serum Vials by Med Lab Supply
20mm Dual Tone Flip Top Seal
20mm butyl sropper
20mm Dual Tone Flip Top Seal (Blue/White)

20mm Kebby Flip Top Crimper (20002-00-C01A) (For Flip Top seals)

So, wanna know if this will be a decent system, if it all works together, if its all i need andnif the vials will fit my labels? Thanks in advance.
 
This mean that you dont buy all only for cooking 2 vials for yourselve. So you must fill vials.

Looks good to me mate, im no expert but i have used whatmans and liked them. I think you will be well set with what uve listed.. I use a 50ml syringe to fill my vials. But all mine is for personal use

What carrier oil do you use?

the latest is mct. I actually made a system with a vacuum pump that has a tube with a syringe glued to the end. Cool thing is whenever i use i replace tje needle with a fresh, sterile needle. i have a homemade (something, lol) that i attach a 60cc syringe, with no plunger, that stands upright and a slot below where i would put a sealed sterile vial and lower the syringe where the needle enters the stopper to fill the vial. I put the needle attached to the pump in as well and it draws the oil into the vial. The 60cc syringe has a syringe filter attached and with the plunger discarded i can pour oil directly from the beaker i brewed in into thier. But with smaller amounts, rather than break out all the equipment i'll just use the cauking gun, 60cc syring and syringe filter.

That sounds like a NASA set up lol i love hearing about ppls contraptions

The other day i put a t-junction on my hose and used 2 bottle top filters with one hand pump.. Was very effective i loved it

MCT is the easiest to filter IMO

Lol, well it doesn't look nasa. I made it with pvc pipe with that smooth shiney plastic and i tried to paint it all black and the paint didn't take so it's all blotchy looking. Actually pretty ingenious, though if you ask me. I spent a whole day designing it and building it including trial and error. Shit, the only reason i want to go bottle top is i want to start using open serum vials. Couple q's, kap. Will a 1" by 2 5/8" label fit on your vials? If so, what size vials are those?
 
* Your label size is correct... MLSupply has 2 different styles of 10ml bottles... If you purchased the cheaper "Bulk"/special priced ones, etc... = they will be fatter & much heavier... I'm not a huge fan of them, etc...:(

* Just make sure your Bottle Top Filter and Media Bottle Neck Size are the same size/width... I think the Hybex Media Bottles are all 45mm... You should be g2g if ordered via the same section, etc...

* I'm also curious as to how you intend to fill your individual 10ml bottles from the Hybex? If you already mentioned it, I'll have to re-read & quietly crawl back under my rock..:). They do make special 45mm "Rubber Septums" & Caps/tops. However, MLSupply has always been out of stock when I've inquired about purchasing them...? Who knows...

Thanks stacks. I thought about taking vials and a beaker straight from the oven (heat sterilizing) and pouring product into beaker and drawing and dispersing with a 10ml sterile syringe. Will be able to fill at a decent rate considering the 10ml syringe will be used for exact measuring as well. Unless there's an easier/better way.

To be honest bro i dont know the sizes of my vials, they are just normal height from what i gather. I also dont work with inches lol we use centimetres in aus

Also i have done the exact same thing with beakers in the oven. And then i used a 50ml syringe to get 5 vials at a time. Ive never had any injection issues but thats just me. I put foil over each vial and the beaker while in the oven, then just peal foil from 5 vials at a time to fill

That's basically my setup.

Hybex 500ml media jar
Whatman bottle top filter
20mm Vials
Rubber stoppers
Flip top caps
20mm crimper (although if wanting to be cheap you can use a knife or spoon instead)
Vacuum pump

The Hybex jars come with a plastic o-ring on the lip of the jar. I was unable to create vacuum with the filter and vacuum pump until I removed the o-ring
