Layne Norton on training

He says he's natty. Doesnt look natty to me though. This may be a foolish question but I'll ask anyway... how natural is he?Cycle off for competitions?

Its such a hard world now to claim natty, people will question everything. Now i have no idea if he is or isnt nor is it my business. But i genuinely feel sorry for the blokes with pure natural strength combined with insane dedication who get called out when they claim natty. They get there back up and ppl straight away assume they are lying. Its worse when the lazy juice heads call out natty ppl

Anyway just a lil rant :)

If you're actually natural, being accused of using steroids is the ULTIMATE compliment. Anyone why gets extremely defensive about it when accused is clearly lying, in my opinion.

I have to agree with what your saying, i mean when ppl call blokes bullshitters and liars etc, it would be hard to stay calm when everybody is doubting you and even if ur clean at the time and can proove it thru testing people will still say uve done it in the past

I do agree with ur post tho

But the is he really natty question is so old
I don't care. I just assume he's lying
Regardless, his understanding of exercise is outstanding. Dr. Norton. Remember that

Seems like the natty or not thing is always the first thing people ask anymore.
It's almost like they think if you use gear you can just sit and watch tv and eat potato chips and you'll get big.
Gear or not, having a great physique is a shit ton of hard work.

I read his article you posted and he is absolutely a beast when it comes to knowledge. Credit where it is due :)

Edit, workout looks like something to get into after Shieko. Love the balance of power and size idea now that I'm actually getting strong haha

Layne is incredibly smart and a super nice guy, I have no doubts that he is natty at least now. He may not have been at one point but for the 3 years I've followed him I would say he is. His nutrition knowledge is next level and training principles are always progessive and forward thinking never stuck on a set this works stick with it. I almost even paid for his avatar nutrition program but then realized it's not in any way helpful for someone who does use cause they can't take into account for that with any of the variables. I'll probably utilize it in about 4-6months when I'm off everything for a while though.

I've seen this program mentioned many times and I'm really interested. Do y'all think it would be beneficial during a cut to try and keep strength and muscle mass up? Also been looking at one of his newer programs PH3: Layne Norton's Power And Hypertrophy Trainer, Program Overview
Code:

but think it would hold more benefit while on a calorie surplus than deficit.

I did excellent on my cut with the DFT program. Same principles as this program. I was fucking astounded by how much better it was than a volume approach to off cycle training.

If I remember correctly you had a pretty extensive deficit during your cut, for your size at least. If you had great results at such a low calorie intake then this is definitely worth looking into deeper.

Yeah. 1 carb dish a day, for simplicity sake. I was in the dredges of 1900 cals a day to get down to a lean 250. The next ten pounds I would of had to take off would of been "show" weight. Then I would of had to do some damn cardio lol. I've been experimenting with my cruise doses in the short couple years I been using. My whole first year I cruised at 500mg after I dropped my shitty rx trt dose. Altho I been finding I can do more with less. This year I been cruising at 300-350. That had some thing too do with my success on the DFT program. Don't know how much. But it was a resounding success with all that strength based training and some hypertrophy. Get stronger every week. 5 lbs at least to the bar every week. The biggest difference a cycle makes is I get 5 lbs stronger every workout lol. Not kidding

As I'm sure your cruise does had some impact on strength and mass, training had to be a huge factor as well. Especially at such a low calorie intake. I hope to not even get down as low as 1900 calories as I have in the past and it's not fun

I've seen you progress in @weighted chinup thread which as you stated has some of the same principles as this program. Your strength progression is quite impressive actually.

What was your rx dose? They started me at 140mg/week, bloods to see where I'm at in 2 weeks. I don't know how long I'm going to do this.....seems really expensive when I could self med easily enough.

If you don't have insurance or high co-pay check out

I haven't had to use them as my insurance is decent but they seem to have some really good discounts.

I totally agree with this! Seems at my gym the guys that should be juicing aren't and think it's cheating and will never grow past where they've been for years because of the stigma drugs have on the world. The guys that should be focusing on routines and diet are on crazy amounts of shit and look like hell! It's baffling to me! There's a couple monsters though that I envy and just don't understand how the fuck they got so god damn strong!

And I'm pretty positive Layne Norton is using. But who want to give money to the guy that can't sell their products and services because people think he's a cheat! Can't sell your useless sups if everyone knows you're using different shit that actually works!
