How rich are you??

To put in perspective. If you make minimum wage ($10/hr) 40 hours a week. You would be in the top 3% of the world.

If you and your wife both work minimum wage full time your combined income would be close to 41,000. Which would jump you up to the wealthiest top .5% percent of the world.
Wealth is also relative to where you are. I live in a state where living cost is low and I make decent money. I would be considered rich to someone living in a 3rd world country making $25 a week. But, $25 a week is enough to survive in some places where you would starve to death here.

Very strange question OP, How rich is not only an money issue itself.

Today the new rich people think that their are rich bc have X amount but is false!

Then, my money status is so high but really isnt bc my lifestyle isn compatible with snobs( yet others thinking in other way).

I mean, at least in my country, there are "poor people" with a looot of money and "rich people" with a normal life.

So the thread tittle is very strange to me,dont like this vision.
The thread title was borderline click bait to get people thinking about where the sit compared to the world financially.

You hit the point. Economy is all less an objectivity issue.
Economist think with a classist thinking. And I repeat my point, "how rich" is an issue that depends of many factors.
If you are single and your pay is x+Y+Z and you buy only Y+Z, you could will believe that you are rich bc y+z are(in this hypothesis) deluxe products and the other part (x) seems to be a lot of money to only u.
Then how about the people without education that drive a tolba and sell dogfood and make a lot of money(x+w) and buy Y+Z? What are they?
Anyway, then, you get marry and now just buy z,then you social class decrease or you are less rich?

So,you can see, how that classist vision hide the humanity aspects of human groups and see the economy like and objective issue regarding the money like the only parameter to evaluate. I mean the marriage, family, customs, single or not, education and all this oldie historycal stuff like the economist usually said,is keeping hide.

Yeah man I love studies on econmics and how people view how wealthy they are.
Like the vast majority of people think they are poor even the super wealthy, when in reality they are very well off.

Its great to be able to support your family financially . But riches will never buy love or happiness ;)

They say that money can't buy love in this world, but it'll get you a half-pound of cocaine, and a sixteen-year-old girl, and a great big long limousine on a hot September night.

Now that may not be love but it is alright.
