I was never deployed into any real action, just the academy and various practice exercises before I moved to Asia and got taken off the roster. Respect for your service, you're fortunate to be around and healthy enough to work out. It's a destructive profession, in far too many ways.

Definitely second the notion that the real deal stays quiet. The ones who saw serious action don't talk. Maybe among themselves, I'm not privy to that, but definitely no casual banter otherwise.
