We've had an ugly past in regards to this issue. I will refrain from doing that again and will respectfully engage you on a couple things:

I agree with you that no woman or hold should be beaten or subjugated no matter the religion. I also agree it does happen in the Muslim religion. There's no excuse for it. For example, Pakistan, at the behest of their Islamic Council, passed a law to my knowledge that allows men to "lightly" beat their wives. Yes it says lightly. There's no excuse for these kinds of laws and it is an issue that needs to be dealt with.
Having said all that, I would like your thoughts on some other women's rights issues around the globe that are not just Muslim issues:
1) what do you think about the Indian Penal Code 375 which states "sexual intercourse between a man and his wife cannot be rape provided the wife is over 15yo"? Or in the Bahamas a man can sexually assault his wife if she is over 14yo? In Singapore, a man can sexually assault his wife provided she is over just 13 years of age?
2) you know I'm Lebanese, and it's roughly half and half Christian and Muslim, so I'll use them as an example too. In Lebanon a man cannot be charged for kidnapping, rape, or statutory rape if he plans on marrying the victim after. In Malta, a man can get a reduced sentence for kidnapping a woman if he plans on marrying her and the charges will be dropped completely if he in fact does marry her.
3) in Nigeria, a man can legally beat his wife and cannot be charged unless there is a "grievous" injury.
4) not as bad as other countries obviously but in Israel a man has the final word on divorce. A husband and wife in a Jewish marriage must both give consent to get the divorce and either can start the proceedings but if a woman doesn't grant the husband the divorce it can still be passed if the husband gets 100 rabbis to say ok. A wife meanwhile is stuck until the husband gives his ok. There is no law that can make the man give his consent. The husband can blackmail the wife for giving his consent. For example, the husband can give his consent if the woman agrees to forfeit child support payments, or forfeit the house, etc. And if a married woman, married bc the husband refuses to consent to the divorce at all costs, has children with another man, those children are deemed bastards and unable to marry in Israel forever. Obviously this law is not as bad as beating your wife or being allowed to rape her but just an example to show that even modernized countries can subjugate women and children.

While arguably not as bad as killin people over religious beliefs, look at what Duterte is doing in the Phillipines. Executing drug addicts and dealers without any sort of due process, police planting evidence, murdering people who surrender, etc. Duterte even claimed something along the lines of wanting to kill drugs criminals like Hitler killed Jewish people. He's admitted to murdering people in cold blood among many other vicious acts.
