Did you see the post where it showed California gives more money to the federal government than they receive? It would be interesting to see what would happen if California stopped sending money to the Feds in retaliation.

I wouldn't want to see that happen. I live in California. A war between California and the US would only affect the ones they pretend to care about. Although, I would like to see jerry brown get kicked in the nuts.

Im really curious to how this will pay out. No matter what side you're on... we're definitely making history. Regardless of how much taxes Californians pay the federal government cutting grants would be catastrophic. How hard headed will California be? To me it doesn't seem like a big deal to report to the feds if they encountered an illegal but I'm not in charge.
I feel our country is only going to be further divided. Could be pretty scary...
For the left to use the narrative that California gives the federal government more funds than it takes back is disingenuous. Isn't that governments job? To tax? The resources that California would give up would be very tough to deal with. Security alone should be enough to scare this state in to compliance, although liberals aren't scared of Muslim terrorist. They think if they're nice to them they'll be nice back. Obama proved that wasn't so. Also, if California broke off then democrats would never win an election again.
Boston mayor last night already laid out the reasons why they will not do the federal governments Job "to seek illegal immigrants" who are not committing crimes!! It's federal governments job the have policy in place for the millions who are already in this country illegally. Some were brought here by their parents. To hold funds from these places for not enforcing FEDERAL law is not lawful,it's not cities police departments job!! and they plan on fighting in court. It plays well to the base of the Trump White House but has no real merits in real life. Illegal Aliens who are criminals are sought out by le just like any other criminal.

What's also funny is that the topic of illegal immigration is directed primarily towards Mexicans and other Latin countries. So how is California acquiescing to the government and snitching on illegals, Latinos, supposed to help protect from terrorism?
