Can a Christian be gay? Religion says no. True Christianity says yes. Is being gay a worse sin than lying, having sex outside of wedlock, gluttony, lusting over a chick with a big booty and a pretty face, etc... Our society says yes, but the Bible says something entirely different.

James 2:10 says, "For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it." To me that clearly says, if you only commit one sin, then you're guilty of committing them all.

People who categorize sin and claim that God/Jesus causes bad things to happen to sinful people simply do not have a true understanding of the New Testament. Those same people believe it is their own actions (self righteous) that ultimately saves their soul and not the act of Christ dying on the cross.

I am not trying to get preachy here but Romans 14:23 says, "But whatever is not of faith is sin." What human being on this earth does not have multiple doubts about different situations every single day on this earth. So is having doubts about ones health, ones future, ones children, finances, political turmoil permissible by God but being gay isn't?

Being gay is a sin, but no more so than lusting and every other sin. I do not condone homosexuality but I prefer to pull the plank out of my own eye before I begin judging others. Thanks to Test, I lust after every other woman I see. And to the dude who hung himself, if he had a heart and a desire to have a relationship with God, then he wasn't rejected based upon his sexual preference.

Sorry for the rant. Just finished a 12.5 hour work day.

Those are very out of context. And none of those say that a gay person (or more accurately described as a sinner) cannot be a believer in the eyes of the lord.

If you truely believe that a gay man can't be a Christian or go to church then you have no idea what a church even is.

Is engaging in sexual intercourse of the same gender a sin? Yes.
Can sinners be Christians? Yes.

God made us all unique, some of us struggle with lustfulness, some struggle with stubbornness, or gluttony.
And some have homosexual tendencys.

None of them(even the worst scum if this earth) are unfit to be cristians.

Look at the story of Jesus and Zakia(the tax collector) Tax collectors were considered the worst of the worst people back in Jesus' time. Worst than rapists and murders.

My church is based around gods love for us and the love we should have for each other.
The "church" or the building or the congrication of people that I am apart of, DO NOT enforce rules on each other.

My church's principles and teachings are backed up by scripture yes. But the church is just a building and my pastor is just another sinner like me.

Edit: The Bible is just a book written by man, and the church is just a building we all decide to meet at. When you base you faith on god/jesus' love and not on baptisms, buildings, or rules you will find a much better place to worship.

It is not unusual for an atheist to slaughter a christian on knowledge of scripture.

Typically xians have never read or studied the bible in Greek or Aramaic, they just know the few verses the pastor gives them.

most pastors do not study greek in their training unless they do a theology degree which is much rarer than pastor.
