New Vehicle

Whats the real life verdict on the Ram 2500 6.4L?

Im reading alot of negative reviews about being underpowered but it boasts over 400hp and over 400 lb ft tq.

Dont remember the 5.7 in the 2500 getting such negativity even though it was way less powerful.
My buddy went from. 1/2 ton Silverado with the 5.3 to the dodge 3/4 ton with the 6.4 and hasn't complained a bit. He also tows trailers and stuff quite a bit with no issues.

I've only heard good things besides exhaust manifold bolts breaking at higher millage but that been an issue since the 5.7 came out. No active fuel management (4cyl mode) no direct injection and no variable valve timing = almost nothing to fuck up. I've drove 2 of them one with the manual tran and the other automatic both 4x4. Loved the manual wasn't crazy about the auto liked both trucks.

Still researching...
The older models with the 6.4 DID have 4 cyl mode but cant find out much about the new system. Ram officially calls it "fuel saver technology". They arent calling it MDS so...idk. Really not a fan of MDS.

I didn't think the 2500 came equipped with it. Could be wrong not really a dodge tech....just a fan of some of their stuff.

I have 2 Toyota trucks, a 2016 and a 1997 I bought new. My 97 has 283000 miles on it and runs great. I couldn't care less if they came from the United States our Japan. I bought too many shitty cars from Detroit. I don't owe those m************ anything I couldn't give a fuk if they are from the United States or not.

I also have a 2013 Ford Focus that the steering is going out on it. It was supposed to be a factory recall but ford is fighting me on it so f*** them. Their electronic steering suck. It's a f****** bummer when your power steering goes out while you're driving down the freeway.

I have a 2017 f250 platinum with the 6.7 .
I pull a 39 ft reflection camper trailer it has 1500 lbs of tongue weight, I had to put an extra leaf spring in but you hardly know your pulling it.
great truck .

Toyota,Nissan,Honda = made in US owned by Japanese company.
Ford,gm,dodge= made in Mexico,korea,China
Owned by US companies well not dodge really but whatever.
I can't fucking stand working for a company that builds a vehicle in China ships it here and pays their way out of the news.

I had to download the brochure to get the full scoop.
Indeed their 6.4L in the 2500 series DOES have MDS mode:mad:
That sucks. Wonder if theirs any option that would allow you not to get it. I know in certain years of gm you could only get certain engines, trans in chassis can trucks. I know we had a couple ordered that way then we put beds on them.

Can't speak for the rest but ford trucks are built in Kentucky.

The Off Road Cars from Transformers Age of Extinction: A Detailed Look

This is what you should be driving, it's got everything! Style, suspension, roll cage (gotta keep that kid safe while hitting 60'gaps) 640hp cause ya know you have to get the supercharged version.

But actually if you are looking into a truck the GMC Sierra 1500 is pretty sweet my brothers got a new one of those, I have a new Tacoma and love it but I have a following for Tacomas so I'm willing to pay the extra especially cause the resale is unreal.
I had a chance to go over the movie cars front to back.
They were mfg in arizona...they came about through a design competition.
The company that mfg them has a retail store in downtown knoxville tn....local motors.
They are also in a joint venture with nearly every major mfg in the country and are building a production plant near y12 by oak ridge tn.
Awesome company...the vehicle itself is awesome. Nearly perfectly balanced and if i remember correctly it comes with a 6.0 v8 and 6 speed.
Pricing...$ 110,000.00
Edit...guess i should have clicked the link. All the info is there. Lol

I wonder if the power wagon comes with it too? That would suck :(
F250 6.7 all the way!!!
There popular down here. Most i see dont even have a hitch on em.
Thats a $10,000 add on for the diesel. That buys alot of gas!
I do like it. But is completely overkill for most ppl. And so is the price!
Their out of control with the costs on these diesels.
2014 Fx4 5.0L. loaded to the tits and paid for.
Thats the best part!
I second this but if you get a newer one it's like paying for a fucking house.
Its out of control
I remember when a man could buy a truck for a fair price with some options and a decent amount of chrome as a base. Now every swinging dick owns a truck whether he needs it or not.
Thats why prices are so high. Demand shot thru the roof the last 2 decades. Back then you couldnt get most ppl to buy a pickup. Now its a "status" symbol. The truck has reached par with a sports car for desire among the wealthy.
Irritating.
