Lots of phone calls, and lots of paper work, and meetings with bank managers, lawyers, my lender, and the title company's escrow agents.

Nice work. Who ended up eating the $15k? I can't imagine the scammer actually returned the money.

Nobody did I had the managers and the fraud dept at the bank freeze the accounts before he could pick it up.

Had my fiancé not caught the discrepancy, I would have been the one to eat the 15k and I would of likely had to sue people.
