If faced with an opponent who has an assault rifle, would you rather have a pump action squirrel hunting pea shooter, or be able to match the firepower? A regular Joe with a decent shot and an AR-15 is a lot better off than a regular Joe and his duck gun.
It's not about fear, it's about preparedness. We have a right to be prepared for anything, and to protect ourselves from anything, especially an oppressive government. History has taught us not to let our guard down.
I love my country, but I don't trust any government. Only a fool would.

Do you own a gun Doc?sure, just let me know where i can buy the following to be able to match firepower

Utah is tied for 19th place as a state where you're more likely to be killed by a gun. Utah is at 12.6 gun deaths for every 100,000 people.
Ok I see where this is going. Lol ... I guess there's an excuse or counter point for any example no matter which side makes it. I've enjoyed our debate though seriously I have. Good luck to you. If some crazy lunatic is running around shooting people come to my house I'll still protect youDude, you picked a state that has less people in it than NYC. Chicago has almost as many people as the entire state of Utah.
Anyway, some other stats you might not know:
Utah is tied for 19th place as a state where you're more likely to be killed by a gun. Utah is at 12.6 gun deaths for every 100,000 people.
What is even more ironic, of the 20 top states where you're more likely to be killed by gun, 19 of the 20 don't require permits to buy a gun, while one, Indiana, only requires a permit for a handgun.
So sure, ill grant you the point on Utah having low gun deaths in total numbers but relative to the population size, its worse than all of Illinois or NY.

Should be ashamed of yourself lolI need to clean my 7mm Savage. From all that dust it collected during elk season.
Do you own a gun Doc?
Not here to argue or fight. Just curious.
Some 83% were by suicide. If I wanted to commit suicide, that's the way I would do it too.
I'm sure your other stats are just as goofy, but I'm too lazy to look them up.

I have to go clean my AR now. It's dirty from all the rounds I've put down range. Yea I'm being a smart ass but all in fun

Yup, most of them were suicides but guess what is linked to less gun ownership and suicide success rates...
You say that like it's a good thing.
What's good about suicide?
Your right! There are people like that aroundI'm sure there are some people who want to get rid of all guns, I'm not one of them![]()
What's good about failing to kill yourself? You're not implying suicide attempt rates are correlated with gun ownership, I hope.
