Pulled the trigger - First Cycle

I missed this log somehow. I'd be really surprised if you didn't hit at least those goals in your original post.

You’re a fuckig lifesaver. Nearly dropped the winny, but back pump nearly went away with taurine. I walk around too much during the day to have a throbbing low back the entire time
I had mentioned to you that winny gave me soMe of the worst back pumps I’ve ever had. I want lying!! I’m glad the taurine helped. Lol stay away from farmers carry’s..

Yeah I figured with 50mg I wouldn’t get it that bad, but boiiiii that shit was something else

Just a heads up, no amount of taurine and potassium will prevent that low back pump during HIIT/Sprinting. was near crippling. holy shit lmao

Bicycle cardio gives the nicest fucking quad pump on winny. Great alternative to sprinting/walking. Loved it (although i will still keep walking and sprinting)

TLDR; Tore my MCL, stopped deadlifting/squatting for nearly 4months, focused solely on bench and benched 405 for 5 and 455/475 for gym bro singles (the 455 was actually pretty clean TNG but the 475 was ass up and grinding for whatever I could get). Starting new cycle soon and will be posting before pictures and keeping detailed log on here :)

Alright boys. Time for some transparency. So, about a week after my last post I tore my fucking MCL at my second BJJ class....go figure.

I had to stop deadlifting and squatting altogether. Before I got hurt I pulled 600 on deadlift for a nice PR, but sadly probably missed out on another 50 pounds if I could have pushed it through the end of the cycle.

I decided to finish my cycle by just sticking to seated/lying down pressing movements.

I ended my cycle with a 405 for 5 bench press which had me fucking stoked. I also hit 455 and 475 on the bench for my one rep maxes. These were touch and go reps and I was not worried about my ass coming up at all, just having some fun in the gym with my pops.

I know that I should wait longer between cycles but given the way my last took a turn for the worst, I'll be hopping back on a nice little cycle of 500mg test e/week for 16 weeks (might alter the duration, havent decided completely yet.) I will also likely be jump starting it with 50mg/DBOL/day for the first 4 weeks, but again have not made my mind up yet. Might just keep on the test only since I got such great strength gains from it last time.

After the MCL injury my calories went to shit and I solely focused on getting stronger on the bench (I really wanted to bench 495 after I saw how fast I could progress by adding some weight and focusing just on bench.) However, this cycle I will be diligent in the kitchen and be focusing on a slight cut/recomp while gaining weight on the big three.

If I can get the bench/deadlift videos edited enough to satisfy my security concerns is that something you all would like to see? I won't be posting physique pictures as I stopped taking them after the injury. However, I will posting before pictures in a few weeks when I start the new cycle.

Let's see them, those are big bench numbers.

I got a hamstring injury a few weeks ago, I'm bench only for awhile, too.

First video is 405x5, second video is 455 followed by the 475. Was done in the same workout. Like i said, the 455/475 arent pretty at all, but I was just having fun in the gym seeing how much I could throw around.

Apologize for the shitty quality, but as I said, have to do something to help with privacy. If im honest i dont even like posting vids but ah well.

Oh and here is the 600 deadlift, which was right around the time i got injured, so about 2.5 months before end of cycle. The benches were all done right around the last week I pinned.

strong as fuarkkk!!!! how is the mcl now? did you do any pt?
Thanks man!

I didn’t do any doctors/medication/prescribed pt. I did a shit ton of research and found 99% of mcl injuries would heal without surgery so i just took it really slow and let it do it’s own thing.

My plan of attack was 2 weeks in a knee brace with metal stabilizers so no side to side motion, 3 weeks in an ace bandage wrap and then I just slowly started rehabbing it with various stuff like sitting down in a chair and standing back up, exercise bike with higher resistance and minimal speed, and slowly started stretching it back out. Range of motion was a bitch for awhile just because I didn’t want to rush things and snap it up, so I couldn’t even do a full ass to grass bodysquat until maybe 4-5 weeks ago lol.

But as to how it is now it seems to be doing great!! Even had front squats and goblin squats in my workout last night, full range of motion no discomfort. Albeit still working with extremely light weights to not rush things
