Bed bugs - anyone encounter these peice of shits?

I'm itching just thinking about it

Same. I moved into an apartment once that had little roaches that would come out at night. I sprayed and bombed the house and still couldn’t get rid of them. Had to get a exterminator to come out twice. Took nearly 3 weeks to get rid of them. For months those fucking things haunted my dreams. They psychologically really fucked me up. I can’t and don’t want to imagine dealing with bed bugs.

When I was younger I moved around jobs quit a bit and without fail apartments always had something.

What I learned. I sold off about 90% of what I owned. Making it much easier to keep the house spotless. My furniture was metal, plastic fold out and kept to a bare minimum. No wood with nooks and crannies for eggs. Keeping clothing inside thick vinyl bags.

Dense memory foam covered with a high quality bed encasement covering.

Steam cleaning everything in your bedroom, this can be rented and would kill eggs.

The more crap you own, the more places they have to hide and lay eggs. However they typically like to be near their source of food....that's you.

This is just to keep yourself safe in the future. For right now you need to call a professional and have them heat the house to 135-140 F.

As someone that buys rental properties, I always rip out all the carpet and put down laminate flooring and tile. I try to make a place as simple as possible to clean, I prefer installing cabinets and shelving with no doors or hiding places. If I could I'd make the entire house out of stainless steel, but that would cost astronomical.

I found these things in Las Vegas and good thing I brought bedbug repellent spray with me to spray the hotel room beds.
Whenever I go anywhere that requires a stay at hotel the first thing I do is check out the mattress.. seen them once at a hockey tournament with my son and never even bothered to unpack, just took my stuff and was lucky enough to find a room at another hotel.

I bought from home depot specifically for bedbugs. Lucky we installed hardwood flooring 2 months ago so when I cleaned room it very easy to spot where they can hide and they cant go under the hardwood
I seem to have managed it second night now not a single one seen.Thank God!

An yeah these things can really take a toll on your sleep and anxiety lmao I just get itchy naturally now thinking they're on me when they're not even there.

Bedbug Registry

Theres an actual website^^ you can use to see if a hotel has had claims of bed bugs...also, look up the Great Wolf Lodge claims of bed bugs. Place is overpriced and regardless if they aren't currently infested with bed bugs, place is a filthy shit hole
I fucking died when I saw that mindlesswork liked this post. That's where he does his best hunting

Isn’t that the stuff that supposedly cuts them up?

Suffocates them.

It's pretty common on farms and in zoos.

Edit - I only buy food grade, I use it exfoliate, brush, and as a source of dietary silica as well.

You can use nonfood grade on animals, but I won't use anything on them I wouldn't use myself.

I got bit by them at a cheap bungalow in Thailand the first time I went there. Fuckers, fucked me up, had red bites all over my chest. Since than I'll usually spring a little more for better accommodations.
