Yeah while cheaper equipment they have gone out of their way to help me get set up right. Gave me what they knew they could get quicker and swapping out for what I need when it comes in... top notch in my books
That's good to hear, yeah who knows how long this will go and it will be such a bonus to have your set up at home
You almost cant help but lift when you have such excellent access, with metal blaring in the background.
I'm ordering horse mats to build my own platform, pretty much going to follow what you did.
I only have around 300lbs of weight in my office gym, so ordering a few more plates too.
I miss pulling heavy lol
I can only smash reps so much hahaha

Sweet yeah its pretty simple to build. I miss it too. There is this young kid in my neighborhood, that's a junior in our dept. He wants to start lifting. I said no problem you are welcome to lift with me at my place if you commit to follow it, knowing I powerlift. He agreed and asked why he cant start now. I had to tell him I want him to learn the right way from the get go, not be doing crazy shit making do with what I have now. A couple more weeks he can come learn to PL

Damn getting equipment these days.
Cage is in next week, asked about the bar and remaining. Said the bar is end of June at the soonest. The one ordered is a 1500lb bat. But has a 2000lb bar coming in May so said I would take it but its 200 bucks more...

Yea man, this shit is a pain for everyone. I drove by our small town fire dept Tuesday and saw several firefighters training in a very nice gym at the new firehouse paid for with our tax dollars. Must be nice

Yeah most halls have gyms, ours is donated, borrowed,or second hand. Some career halls definitely have more funds, of course from taxes.
Side note you want a fat lazy firefighter or a fit healthy one coming to your house?
Some history on firefighting. Back in the day fire halls used to be paid by the insurance companies. They used to put what was called a fire mark on the homes that had this insurance. Due to regulations and of course government the municipalities took it over and collect a portion of property taxes to pay for it.
Our hall is still off limits for anything except responding to calls so no gym there yet

I think all first responders should pass fitness tests semi annually or annually. I also don’t think the people who steal money from our pay checks and their employees should be allow to do things we aren’t. I’m not a fan of the whole law enforcement/ political exemption shit.

I am not sure what you mean on the exemptions. Maybe different in the US than here in Canada.
Firehalls here are paid from the property taxes by the homeowner. Renters dont pay this only property owner. None of this is from a pay cheque. The portion of the property tax that goes towards fire protection is minimal. Fire Engines, hose, turnout gear, maintenance, training, administration is expensive, not sure where else the money could come from.
I own my property and dont mind paying it knowing they are coming when I need them.
I'd have to agree with the fitness aspect too.
I have a few Friends who are first responder..

It’s very similar in Texas but other states the funds for police/fire comes from state taxes even sales taxes. There’s a lot of laws here in the USA (varies state by state) where the citizens aren’t allow to do a certain thing but the government officials, police fire etc are exempt. Certain gun laws, diving on the phone, computer while driving etc. can’t go to the gym right now.

EliteFTs has bars and have been trying to set up Paypal and having issues setting up account. So cant do that..
I dont want to piss these guys off too much as I want to swap the 45s at the end of the month.

I hope you get all your stuff at the same time. I had the issue with Rouge where the bumpers I ordered shipped in 4 different shipments. 2 weeks after they were supposed to ship. I’m still waiting on a bar from Texas power bars. I’m lucky I was able to get good equipment from a reputable manufacturer here in town. If I hadn’t I’d probably be waiting on a rack still. How’s the weight loss going?

Yeah, it sucks and working with just plates, a bench, and am SSB is tough and even tougher to be motivated with it. Had they told me 12 weeks or more at the beginning I wouldn't have ordered, my gym opens next week, and assume firehall gym soon too.
I am in 3k already for equipment plus 3 or 4 hundred on building stuff for the home gym, all money I really did not have.
He offered a refund in what I haven't gotten yet. To be honest, useless as I need to swap the bumpers. Maybe if he would refund the bumper plates too I would consider. Then order and wait for quality equipment to finish. But my luck I will wait longer, Rogue has a notify me when available option not an order and wait option.
Weight loss slowed a bit for last week down a half pound. Work has gotten busy and late nights making it tough to get out bit still am. I have more time to cut now but may hit up my gym next week so will see. Have more test and A bombs so want to start lol.

Getting tired of the run around now from the fitness store. Things are delaying more and more. Contacted another company as they may have some stuff sooner and looks to be better quality. If they get back to me soon, and can guarantee me better delivery I think I will take the other guys up on offer to refund the remaining.
Yeah man, you need that equipment lol
Gains are calling.
I know times are rough for suppliers, but they need to give realistic and honest expectations

gym are supposed to open here the 18th but at 25% capacity and patrons are supposed to wear gloves. I thought my respect for the people in charge here was low before this, I think it’s getting down to the negatives now

So Bells of Steel sold all the stock again in an hour. So no go for me they expecting more in August. Keep the existing order going and hit the gym on the 18th
