Path to a 500 wilks

Six weeks out now. Thinking I'm going to up my doses to 750 test 450 deca and throw in some var. Just not really feeling as strong as I would like atm. Probably sitting at about a 1550 total. Want 1,600+ at this next meet.
How time flies and bet now is nose to the grindstone. With your progress you should be able to reach that goal.

Is that going to be a problem for making weight? Are you competing at 198 or 181?

Well, I get my scale tomorrow. So I'll be able to see where I'm sitting at the moment. As long as I can stay around 195 I can water cut pretty easy to 181. Worst case scenario I'll just go full bulk mode and compete at 198. Still not counting out a 600+ squat at 181 though. Lol. It's just seeming a little less likely atm.

Weight today was 194.2

Workout was,

X1 squat @ 500lbs
X6 squat @ 405lbs
3x5 paused bench @ 245lbs

Was pretty sweaty out so called it good after the meat and potatoes shit. Maybe if my warmups didn't take 30+ minutes I would have more time to actually workout. Ha. Got the AC put in the gym today though so I shouldn't have to worry about climate issues anymore.

You do a mini split for the AC?

No. I just cut a hole in a piece of drywall and framed it out with 2Xs so it would support a window AC unit. Then stuck some insulation on the backside of the drywall.
As an AC guy that’s cringe worthy but it gets the job done, kinda. I had a window shaker in the garage at my last house and it would only bring the temp down 10-12 degrees but it was better than nothing. Doesn’t help having a freezer in the garage to add extra heat load either.

No, I mean I literally did it to a piece of drywall and put the piece of drywall in front of my garage door. Lol. Then insulated the backside so it didn't leak air through the garage door opening.

I figured you thought I was implying I chopped up the side of the garage. Lol

By the way, I actually used to do a little ac work too kind of. Lol. Didn't work on little window units though. I was technically a tin knocker, but did most of the gas piping, stat wiring, setting and hooking up the air handlers

Nice work...my younger brother owns an HVAC company and specializes in that same type of work. He also got his start as a fabricator but moved on to start his own business so he is now in business 25 years!

Looking good brother @Brandaddy
Your consistency is next level.

On the topic of HVAC

I kind of had my eyes opened maybe 6 years ago.
Was on a job with q ROCKSTAR AC guy (Water treatment facility)

I didnt k ow Ductwork could be "beautiful" and stunning until I saw this dudes work.

Turned my perception of HVAC on its head.

I have some serious respect for guys that can take some ducting and make me drool.

For sub 200 your lifts are great man! The video you posted with squatting looked good and smooth. I think you'll easily hit your goals by next meet. Especially if you up your dosages abit. Hopefully the deca helps keeps those joints feeling good too. You find any new aches or pains with the heavier lifting? The 30min of warmups must also stave them off quite a bit. I never warm up well enough... or stretch enough afterwards lol

Thanks.

I was actually at this strength level early last year. Got sick of the constant injuries and pains so I decided to take a step back and reevaluate things. Glad I did, now I'm down a weight class and right around the corner of some decent liftetime PRs. Most importantly, my body doesn't hate me right now either. Lol. I can actually go for jogs without my knees feeling like they're going to explode.
