Canadians talk domestic

Ya unfortunately 5gs is a bit too much to pay if my cost of staying here was a bit more I honestly might just eat the fines.

Tell me, what do you make of the portion in brackets?
I believe that’s the updated policy regarding the quarantine/presumed infectious period. You know how the CDC made that statement that a 5-day isolation is sufficient after a positive test? I believe we’re just updating our quarantine policy to 10-days from a positive. At the beginning the numbers were pretty fucky.

For me one of the absolute scariest things about all this covid bullshit is the amount of people calling for non vaxxed people to be completely refused health care period and there's more and more people agreeing with that point of view every fucking day!

It's political and economic fuckery just like this that allowed the Nazi party to attain power back in the 1930's and now the same tactics are being implemented to allow big pharma to obtain absolute control over society by meams of rule of law.

This "Pandemic" has been in play for many years now and could have been easily avoided with the implementation of well know and safe oral medications as well as monoclonal antibodies, but all of these were held back from us and that right there is a HUGE red flag!

Yeah I just saw that. Hopefully we make the update as well so I can get the fuck out of here.

In regards to your interpretation of the bracket portion would you take the "as of January 15th a positive test between 10 and 180 days ago" as meaning that if you got a positive test on January 5th you'd be good to go on January 15th or as of January 15th after 10 days you're good to go meaning you can enter on January 25th?

As of Jan 15.. if you have tested positive in the previous 10-180 days, that positive test result will get you across the border without the need to re-test for a negative result. Meaning.. if you tested positive on the 5th you would be allowed to use that positive test result to cross the border on the 15th.

That's my interpretation anyways..

Oh, yeah. When did you test positive? If you tested positive on Jan 1st for example you have to wait til Jan 15. If you tested positive on:

2nd - 15th
3rd - 15th
4th - 15th
5th - 15th
6th- 16th

Per the new rules

Tested positive on the 3rd. So as of the 15th if we all interpret it the same then I'm good to leave. I called ArriveCan and they said that despite it being on their website they didn't have that in their system so they can even give an answer

Don't you love government bureaucracy?

Oh man I love it. Now I just have to wait till I can add it onto Arrivecan and get home
In all seriousness, sorry to hear about your predicament. I know a lot of people had to cancel their vacations last minute, not really out of fear of getting sick but out of fear of getting a positive test. At this point the prohibition to fly home while positive is dumb. You're just as likely to get it here as anywhere else so it's not protecting anyone.

Hope your symptoms do fuck off though. My first bout with vanilla COVID was very annoying.

Covid is not going to stop. Especially when it can run wild in other countries and mutate over and over (the scientists stated this from the get go)

Either Covid will end us or everyone will get sick of hearing about it and we'll end each other lol

I do believe everyone should have a choice in what goes into their body.

Once you get and recover from covid you can't get covid again even if it's a new strain, well that's what a few doctors say at least and I believe that to be true.

I’m not sure that’s true. Then again, who knows what’s even true any longer? I’m pretty sure I just had it again a second time, though I refused to get tested for the simple fact that… fuck them. I’m not going to contribute to your stupid numbers game and let you keep your fear machine running. Cases don’t equal hospitalization- I’ve proven it at least twice now.

People are more likely to get the regular flu or cold as opposed to the covaids.

I think this is true also. Because I refused to get tested, I can’t confirm, though the symptoms said Covid.

Those tests give false positives like 7 times out of 10 plus the normal seasonal flu tests positive for covid so it's a fucking joke really.

It's like using a thermal camera to find a pebble on a beach in the middle of the summer heat lol.

You think it would be good idea to seek out Covid. The vaccine is supposed to give me some protection so it should be safe to get and when I'm over it, what herd immune for life?

I'd obviously borrow a ventilator just to be on the safe side. Safety first.

Not accurate, Ive had a dozen tests at least (I'm an er nurse), none where positive, the covid pcr test will not pop positive for any other virus, flu and respiratory viruses needed another test which is why they are combining them. The old covid pcr test would not pop positive for flu or other viruses because it doesn't test for them.

Edit. I also got the flu last year, covid test negative, upper resp/flu test positive.

This is untrue. Consider the flu, the rapidly evolving nature of which causes antigenic escape. The same can happen for covid.
It's really not worth it. These guys would rather believe a YouTuber that can't help a 3rd grader do math than doctors with a dozen years of school.

I find a lot of the misinformation may be partly due to the fact that most peer reviewed scientific journals need to be bought to read. So most the legit info is few and far between and people don't trust the media or government.
