Its good to self reflect, evaluate ourself, our behaviors, our habits. But ive never seen a soul or spirit, maybe guys see them and talk to them when they get high lol. Reminds me of all this "love yourself" you hear now days, sounds like something you'd hear in an AA meeting or rehab clinic.

But I do think it's a bit dumb for guys to put themselves in to drug induced mental states with psychoactive drugs and then try to convince others that the fucked up thoughts they're having are genuine and to be taken seriously....

Agree. Science has no idea what is real and what isn't. Reality can't be proven by science. There is no such thing as a "brute" fact, or a fact that is unrelated to some underlying presupposition.
Everyone, including scientists, assume certain unproven axioms in order to come to their conclusions.

Some people like to have a beer on the weekend, others like to trip and explore their consciousness. Many introverts like myself, prefer the latter; I hate small talk and don't give a shit about petty conversations of the mundane things in life like, "did you see the UFC fight" or "fucking Yankees kicking ass this season!" ...not my thing.

I also get a lot of shit done. I lift, go outside, work a solid work week, have a lot of sex, and do volunteer work.
Honestly what is wrong with altering consciousness? Let's take a look at the morality. there are documented reports of tons of animals seeking altered states of consciousness. I personally believe that mushrooms and DMT very likely helped our brains evolve so fast. They also have created most of the modern religions although they like to deny that. Elephant's have been found to eat Iboga and then trance out along with several other African animals, lots of deer, elk, and moose all eat psychedelic mushrooms. Raccoons get drunk. Chimps like smoking weed. Black lemurs bite toxic millipedes then rub them all over their body to absorb the toxins and get fugged up. Basically all cats get high on catnip when they can. Jaguars will eat ayahuasca plant (yagé). Dolphins get fucked up on puffer fish. Cows, sheep, horses, will all seek out and eat "locoweed" which is a depressant that sedates them. Bighorn sheep will scrape their teeth on lichen to release psychoactive chemicals (sometimes they will even scrape then down to nubs to keep getting high!). Wallaby will seek out and eat opium. Birds preferentially eat fermented fruit and bees will even drink pure ethanol (NO other species drinks pure ethanol it burns our flesh).
So. It is in our very nature to seek out, explore, enjoy, and dare I say possibly even freak out a little bit on, psychoactive substances of all varieties. I can't find much on stimulant use in animals other than humans (we are animals too, as much as we like to try to pretend we are above animals). It is literally against nature to deprive any species of the ability to explore altered states of consciousness. End the war on drugs!
The real world is simply just the life you create for yourself over the years you're alive based on your personal experiences, feelings, and beliefs during your existence/journey.
