Hair Loss

Been using topicals for a few years as a precaution and still have all my hair (despite gear use and bad hair genetics).

Topical minoxidil (Rogaine) and RU58841 daily. Ketoconazole shampoo every couple days. Topical Nasalcrom (cromolyn) on and off.

There was a study on microneedling so I do that once a week for 2-3 minutes. It's only 2-3 minutes but super-boring.

Increased cardio might be helpful if it's enough to increase blood flow, similar to how minoxidil is thought to work.

Maybe there's a point when hair loss becomes higher priority than some other side effects, so you take more risks to preserve your mane.
You have kids or anything in the house?

Yeah but I don't leave my shit out on the kitchen table.

I'm not that retarded.
Haha. I plan on applying it before bed and showering in morning. Just get worried about if she touches my pillow or something.

What's your thoughts on topical dut. Seems like might be a better option since you only have to apply it once a week.

You could also apply it after morning shower, to minimize possibility of transfer.

On days of morning sex, just wait until after to apply.

T4 while recommended during gh use (+8 iu's), causes hair loss. It seems everything recommended to mitigate sides while using, causes hair loss.

The timing is unfortunate. It's likely in the very near future, AI will provide a protocol that both mitigate sides, without hair loss; while potentially being pro hair growth.
Where did u hear that t4 causes hair loss?

How does topical nasalcrom prevent hair loss?

GH improving hair quality cancelled out by T4?? Back to the drawing board.

Cromolyn is a mast cell stabilizer. Mast cells secrete PGD2. PGD2 suppresses hair growth. Cromolyn inhibits PGD2 therefore removes that brake on hair growth (study).

Cromolyn may also increase PGE2 which would result in more growth as well.

You want PGD2 elsewhere, just not in this case, so topical use and cross your fingers it gets where you want it to get (reference).

Interesting, they cite this paper with a good overview of thyroid function and hair loss.

One good message was to get a comprehensive thyroid panel done. And if you're running gear or especially GH, definitely get a comprehensive thyroid panel right now.

They put more stress on TSH than T3, T4, rTx, et cetera. And treatment is almost always levo (T4) in the absence of underlying disease.

I recall few years back NIOXIN was the shampoo to use for hair loss. That thing was expensive... Im surprised there aren't any generic or story brand shampoos with same ingredients.
