Journey to the bottom of the food chain; Angus gains 0.33g of muscle!

Looking solid man! I don't see any visible signs of umbilical hernia. Some guys have a "deeper" hole some a little flatter, my guessing is that it depends on how doctors tie your belly button when you were born. As soon as it doesn't stick out or hurt i think you're fine.
Thanks @Eddie., you're absolutely correct. That said, I'm planning to see a surgeon this week just for peace of mind, I tend to worry a bit too much whenever a health related idea pops into my head.

Friday update, last day of week 2 (off day)
Morning weight 77.7 KAY GEE

I dropped a good kg overnight, which tells me I have probably reached my maximum "starting weight + water/glycogen" , and have now stabilized.
Z5XhRmQ.png

We'll see if I gain any more weight over the next two weeks; if I don't, I'll be upping my training day calories to 3750 or 4000.

No cardio today, but I'll be doing 15,000-20,000 steps on those days from here on out.

Had me a WBJ burger this afternoon (it's a wagyu burger place), so freakin' delicious!

7vTz4XW.jpeg

Followed by this lovely chocolate bar (also had a new protein bar, was shit)
ZRQDNjL.jpeg

Been over indulging on food all day (mostly clean food, those GLP's have made me crave eggs, oats, etc. instead of fast food). I'll probably be at 4000 by later tonight.

Shoe update, ASICS GT-2000 13
Fil2kCx.jpeg

SIhKgw8.jpeg

Got these bad boys on Thursday and I'm actually loving them way more than my Kayanos.

the two shoes are very different despite looking very similar; GTs are firmer and offer stability (but less of it) compared to the more cushioned Kayanos which were giving me some sole pain during cycling and fast running, these firmer GTs are kinder on my flat footed feet.

I'll be spending the rest of the night playing Expedition 33, I can't get enough of this game, it's so good! We have another leg day tomorrow, hopefully a great one.

Also, I'll be doing overnight/cold oats for my oat meals cause' it tastes so much better than warm oats (unless I use whole or low fat milk).

Week 3, Day 1 26/04/2025
Leg day A, bodyweight 77.7 KAY GEE, AM I LOSING WEIGHT? OH EM GEE.

Had 6 hours of what felt like pretty deep sleep; woke up with pretty sore abs from some hardcore "activities" yesterday, should've been my sign of what's to come but ah well.

BG upon waking was 90 (pretty good for what I ate yesterday), and BP was 125/70, might not need to medicate for this after all.

Had some overnight oats made with some plain yogurt this time (unsweetened), didn't like it that much, back to half skim milk/half 0% sweetened greek yogurt.
s0WeRqL.jpeg

Really enjoying this protein mix though; 1.5 scoops Dymatize cookies and cream, 1/8tsp seal salt, 1/8tsp potassium chloride, few drops caramel sweetener, 1/2 tbsp instant coffee, and half a tsp of fat free coffee creamer

Also got me some 4mm needles for my Humalog pens, to avoid going IM when I inject thighs (don't want to do stomach). I'll say though I definitely "fee" the insulin when I inject it IM, as opposed to SubQ...
o9RL5fq.jpeg

Light pre-workout, about 140g of carbs, 10iu Humalog

Leg day A
KOzGsAx.jpeg

I had a blast tofay, much better than last time. My knees felt pretty strong and healthy. That said, I do feel much better if I max out my ROM; stopping even slightly before tends to mess with my knees a little.

FEELING PRETTY THICK LATELY
giphy.gif

07YEXFO.jpeg

Today's workout

Leg Press x4
Leg extension x2

SLDL x3
Seated leg curl x3

Light standing calf raises with half ROM (no ankle flexion) x6

Superset...
Machine laterals x6
Machine rear delts x6
Cable shrugs x6

NOW HERE IS WHERE IT GETS PRETTY BAD
Did x2 cables crunches followed by x2 leg raises and then...

I did one set of weighted back extensions which resulted in an AB CRAMP MID SET, I felt like my entire stomach was going to freakin' burst open (I actually let out a scream). In fact, the cramping was SO BAD my entire abs are extremely sore as I'm typing this, 2 hours later...

Moral of the story; if your abs are already sore as hell, don't test them.

15 minutes stairmaster/15minutes cycling
giphy.gif

Up to episode 3 of Fire Force now, loving it!

Post, around 140g of carbs again, 10iu Humalog (cooked oats on the stove today, much creamier and more delicious)
0Y5FO7z.jpeg

Reta is starting to work pretty well; I was barely able to finish this, lol.

Still keeping SOME lines

Also, goodies came in pretty early today...

Not sure if i missed it, are you in Rydiah? Your picture looks familiar! Been there a bunch of times for work

I could see that you were on 10mg ezetimibe, so I wanted to share you this.

Conclusion: These data strongly suggest that ezetimibe 5 mg and ezetimibe 10 mg are clinically equivalent with respect to LDL-C reduction and achievement of ATP III LDL-C goals. Widespread adoption of this low-dose strategy could result in a potential cost savings of more than a billion dollars annually, with a potential reduction in hepatotoxicity.

This is pretty interesting, thanks for sharing! I actually saw a lipidologist two weeks ago and was prescribed both Crestor and Ezetimibe so both are covered by government insurance now (I no longer pay for these drugs). That said, I might start doing 5mg for the potential of lower hepatoxicity alone.

I'll update once I reduce the dose down to 5mg and re-test after a month (probably in two weeks, after my next labs).

Great find.

BODEH WAIT 78.60 KAY GEE

OIjS3Wh.jpeg

My entire abdominal wall is pretty darn sore from yesterday's cramp. In fact, so sore I was terrified of getting into any position where I'm leaning forward, but the pain has been rapidly declining since yesterday so I felt I could actually get a real workout in (I was planning to just do cardio).

Despite this little hiccup I managed to PR in BOTH WEIGHT AND REPS on incline press. Couple of sets in...

3ig1aSv.jpeg

I had a surprisingly good workout despite avoiding any exercises that could aggravate my abs or require extra bracing.

Today's workout

Incline machine press x2
Flat machine press x2
Pec deck x2

Machine cross pull down x2
Cable high row x2
Single arm pull down x2 (this puts less strain on my core which I need right now)

Superset (all lighter weights higher reps today, since I'm standing and I don't want to strain)
Alternating dumbbell curls x3
Single arm cable push down x3

EZ bar curl x3
Single arm cable overhead press x3

Plate front raises x3 (dropped the pressing since it require a lot of bracing)

No abs

Did 10 minutes of cycling followed by 20 stair master. The stairmaster is a lot more enjoyable because I don't feel like I'm stuck in place for what feels like eternity.
giphy.gif

WTBwVNF.jpeg

140g carbs; I'm still doing 10iu of Humalog and I likely won't try to go up any higher for a while, this feels pretty good to me.

Un8Unjn.jpeg

Molasses galore; 100g of carbs, lots of protein, barely any fats (like all my meals on training days). This is one of my more enjoyable meals right now.

Found some goodies at the grocery store today
nOcpkdi.jpeg

Trying these out tomorrow (off day), they have around 3g of fat total, 150 calories 20g of protein.
qmI9Kg8.jpeg

I'll continue to take BPC-157 for the next 5-7 days, doing 1mg x2 a day right now. It's really helping.

Also, it looks like I found a new source of Ivabradine (hard to get medicine into my country, customs are very different unlike western nations), really hoping it works out. I've only been on it for a few days but I'm LOVING this drug for RHR.

Almost forgot
mGhQcoT.jpeg

Just got these in the mail today, they all smell SO GOOD. Looking forward to some cooking later this week.

Are AAS legal where you live?

Are AAS legal where you live?
Yes and no. AAS and HGH are considered “controlled” substances. For instance, if my package gets opened at customs with hgh in it they usually just contact me to provide paperwork for clearance (not possible to get) or they return it, no persecution since it’s not technically a prohibited item.

AAS is widely available here that nobody orders online; hgh is also widely available but mainly through the black market (supplied from pharmacies and government drug warehouses) and it’s all 100% pharma, so Genos and Nords.

All the drugs in my Rx list I can get from the pharmacy without a prescription, except for Ivabradine simply because it’s not available here.

That said, selling is illegal, but I never heard of anyone ever getting popped for selling steroids.

Small update, off day/cardio, 28/04/2025
Body weight is 78.85 kg

BG has been in the low 90s the past few days (upon waking), Abdominal wall is almost fully healed, and I'm feeling relatively alright. There is some water on my stomach (mid/lower abs) where the pain was, probably due to some kind of inflammation, but it's getting better.

a8O7vx7.jpeg

Not feeling as full :/

Had some nice eats today that I forgot to capture, unfortunately.

That's about to change, though; CAUSE I JUST GOT THIS BAD BOY

ARE YOU GUYS READY?
Dl7fNId.jpeg

WE GON BE MAKING WAFFLES, LOTS OF WAFFLES

FBG was a 100 today; bit higher than my liking, but it's been good almost all week this week (low 90s).

Doctor's appointment/hernia UPDATE
gaCf8Ah.jpeg

Surgeon confirmed it's a tiny umbilical hernia; he said since it doesn't hurt and it's so small there is no need to operate on it, and that I should continue to live my life as if it doesn't exist. I'm not going to lie, I'm a bit shocked and somewhat upset about this, but he said the surgery doesn't guarantee that it won't come back again, and that it comes with an 8 week (minimum) period where I'd have to just sit around and do nothing until it heals.

There are also small scars (and it's around 5000$). I decided it against it (for now).

Had a GREAT leg session today; I could feel that oatmeal rushing through my veins!
0A4iuFo.jpeg

75X3IRf.jpeg

I was feeling a bit exhausted, mainly due to the lack of good sleep the last few days, but I still managed to PR on a few exercises.

giphy.gif

giphy.gif

t6Jmjcp.jpeg

Today's workout, Legs B

Leg press x4
Leg extension x2

Leg curl x6 (I was too exhausted to do SLDLs)

Body weight single leg calf raises x3
Single leg machine calf raises x3 (I find single leg much easier on my ankles)

Super set
Machine laterals x6
Reverse pec deck x6
Cable shrugs x6

No abs until next week.

10 minutes bike, 10 minutes stairmaster, and 10 minutes incline walking because I was dead bored.

Went back home to some cream of rice, this time with a side of 11ius of Humalog.

gLVT0qv.jpeg

75g CoR, 110g banana, 300ml milk, brown sugar, and a load of honey

I find that I can comfortably do 12.5 units per 1iu of Humalog now, since switching to a shorter pen needle and ensuring I hit my thighs SubQ every time.

I suspect I've been eating at maintenance on workout days; I'm very tempted to increase calories to 3750 starting next week, but I'll wait to get this week's average first.

I noticed that my upper body is responding significantly more compared to my lower body, perhaps because it's lagging behind a little?

Anyways, just placed an order for 8 freakin' boxes of Ivabradin and a LOAD of Retatrutide/Test E. Fingers crossed.

I'm also thinking about raising Ivabradine's dosage to 7.5mg, to have better RHR, but I'm not yet decided on this.

OFF TOPIC UPDATE

SMOL UPDATE 30/04/2025
Bodyweight at 78.80 Kg

Been busy playing Expedition 33.

Had a long day at work today so I prepared two -virtually- zero fat breakfasts
WDL5J82.jpeg

mkiPf85.jpeg

0% greek yogurt with some fat free pudding mix, sweet cherries and a bananay, delicious

Real breakfast
ROl6Z3y.jpeg

Overnight oats and a coffee shake, the usual

Then went home and had these bad boys with 10iu of Humalog; I know, I know, I'm a monster for tearing these pancakes up with my hand instead of using a knife...

Training day 4, upper body B
pnmm8ep.jpeg

Had another great workout today; didn't PR but I was able to identify what was giving me tennis elbow lately! It's the goddamn front delt raises. I switched to underhand grip today (not as effective, but it's pain free).

bceKbE7.jpeg

Cute little pump
giphy.gif

It's really hard to record upper body exercises since all the machines tend to be in very crowded spots

Incline machine press x2
Flat machine press x2
Pec deck x2

Machine X-pattern lat pulldown x2
Cable high row x2
Single arm pulldown x2

Supersets
Alternating dumbbell curl x3
EZ bar tricep pushdowns x3

EZ bar curls x3
EZ bar overhead pushdowns x3

Machine overhead press x3
Undergrip EZ bar front raises x3

Cable crunch x1
Leg raises x1

Did 30 minutes stairmaster (up to episode 5 of Fire Force, bit rushed but still fun to watch)

Last meal of the day
x8KBU8W.jpeg

See all that molasses?! YUM.

Hernia update
Been obsessed with my belly button ever since my meeting with the doctor; that wasn't good for my mental well being, honestly. Kinda depressed over it.

I'll be logging FBG starting next week, but it looks like Retatrutide is starting to work its magic! I'll be upping the dose to 4mg (divided across 3 shots) starting Monday of next week, and I'll keep it there for the rest of this progressive phase (probably).

Very likely I'll be upping calories next week or the week after, we'll see!

Late update, 01/05/2025, off day
Bodyweight 78.7 Kg

BG tested at 80 this morning; that's a first! Hopefully more of the same to come.

Not much to write about today; woke up a bit tired and under the weather, but I was craving some creamy oatmeal with an apple/maple/pecan mix

g2mQj0I.jpeg

This lifted me up a bit; good food always makes me happy

Had some eggs a few hours after which I absolutely needed because I've been having a lot of sweet meals lately, especially on Humalog days, so I've been craving something real savory
tXnNdoE.jpeg

Made some waffles (to be frozen, 0 fat) for my training days; those tasted absolutely delicious! Very crispy.
wDLoDgT.jpeg

JZOiWYg.jpeg

Did about 45 minutes of steps; I actually really enjoyed cardio today, dunno why
j5jLGxv.jpeg

giphy.gif

Wrapped things up with a bowl of white chocolate cookie dough protein mixed with some vanilla pudding mix, honey, and cherries.
rybxD20.jpeg

This is pretty filling since it's all casein.

Ivabradine update

Decided to experiment with 7.5mg x2 a day; started my first dose earlier today, and heart rate is down a good 5-6 extra beats already. Hoping for an even lower RHR with no sides/minimal effect on exercise capacity.

I mainly started to consider this a few days ago after I found a new source for the drug, so I'm less worried about running out and not finding any.

Bodyfat seems to be holding, but that's probably because I've actually been eating at maintenance. I'll be upping calories (carbs) to 3800 on training days (off days will remain at 3000); all will be dumped into my post and second post workout meals; this will put me at 600-620g carbs on training days.

Humalog will be increased accordingly.

Pre-filled some more BPC (which I'll be running for another 5-10 days), Retatrutide, and Lobster HGH

Dude you seriously gotta check out refillable injector pens. A weeks worth of any peptides in one cartridge. All the info & links are in this thread. It's inexpensive and saves loads of time.

I've been putting this off for so long because it all seems to overwhelming, lol. I''ll make time to go through the entire thread because I'd LOVE to have that option; my fridge looks very sus right now, haha.
Dumb question: Do you blend your oats? I notice your oatmeal looks more like cream of rice lol
Yes sir! I LOVE the texture (and taste, they don't taste the same) blended oats, but I haven't had regular whole oats in so long I decided to try them again today
4MvlMV1.jpeg

Alrightish; still love my blended oats more. Blended oats also digest SO MUCH faster.
