Do you know if it will work without a ring spacer? I can get the adapter from insulin cartridges, whcih i suppose will fit on the generic ones. But dont have ring spacers.

Yes, its needed in order to engage the clutch. The generic carts are fatter AND shorter than the novo carts.


Also big note for anyone that wants to use the Novo pen. They are great quality but because of the size difference they also OVERDOSE by 8%. You can account for it though.

I'd forgotten that the generic vials don't even fit in a novopen, having to grind out the cart holder part of the pen lowers my enthusiasm a lot. That said, the etsy adapters look solid and come with the ring spacers.

I print my own adapters and the grinding takes less than a minute with a dremel. It is a nice pen as long as you factor in the dosage difference.

I wonder if the presence of BA from BAC water helps.

I'm a newbie here so some basic questions and confusions perhaps.

It seems Chase Irons has made multiple videos on filling up these insulin pens with different peptides.

In both of these, he simply loads up a needle and syringe, and then uses that to push the liquid into the 3ml cartridge.

So my question is, if it's that simple and straightforward, why is everyone going about "mods" for the Novopen for custom cartridges, and other "Novopen Adapter and Spacer for Universal 3ml Cartridge 10pk" and the like?

Like shouldn't you just keep repurchasing the novogen adapter cartridges and refilling them that simply?

Am I missing something here?

Took me a whole freaking morning to figure all this out but this is what I've gone for for now!

Ergo 2 Pen.
3ml Cartridges.

Both from heavens island as someone here suggested.

Will just draw from vial and plug into cartridge myself using an insulin needle and hopefully that should be it!

No idea about any mods but I do it just like how you said

Novo cartridges are not readily available. Generic cartridges are based on the humalog style and doesn't fit in the novo pen by default. It's too wide and too short and doesn't have a place to screw on the needle. That's why you have to mod the novopen. It also overdoses 8% because of the size difference.

I also use the heavens island carts, but I have always run them through the sterilize cycle on my Instant Pot first.

I use them too. But if there's lab testing showing its not sterile, i figured i'd at least try to sterile it.
