Classic Physique Offseason Log

Hi everyone. I kinda stopped keeping a training log for about 6 months and I want to start again. My IRL friend sloww has one here so I figured why not. We yap to each other in dms about bbing all day.

I'm 36, living overseas in China for the past 10 years. About 13 weeks post show and fatter than I should be at this point but w/e next show probably not until 2027 so a few mini-cuts here and there aren't going to wreck my progress too badly. I was 87kg on stage. Placed 7th out of 13. Was among the leanest guys and had the best posing, just I didn't have enough muscle mass. I gained a lot of scale weight trying to do a rebound and went up about 17kg in the first 9 weeks, (sitting stable around 103-104 rn) then I've been cruising as I started to feel kinda bad and have BP in the 140s. Feeling pretty good and will probably start things back up with some test+nandrolone+eq moderate doses with humalog and gh. smth like 750 test 300 deca 600 eq and then 5iu gh and 5-7iu humalog pre and post. One of my roidbros sources is allegedly carrying 36iu generics for the low price of 1400 RMB and if they test well you know I"m going to 9iu of that instead.

Weaknesses: Glutes, lats from the front, hamstrings, lats from the rear in that order
Strengths: Shoulders+tris+abs+chest, quads

Training will be 2 pull, 2 leg, 1 push. 3 on 1 off 2 on 1 off.
Diet around 100g total fats, 500g carb, 300g protein. These are total macros, not just from direct sources.
Anyway whatever here's the pics from when I was in show shape. RN I'm definitely not super obese or anything but more where I should be around 18-20 weeks post show, not 13.

Today's training 11/29/2025:
Underhand pulldowns: 187lbx14, 121lbx16, 110lbx20
Plate loaded hammer rows (bilateral): 3ppsx12, 10, 8
HS high row (selectorized): 30kgx14, 12, 11 + 2 extra reps on right side each set as my right lat is weaker/smaller than left
Cable unilateral pullover: 3 sets failure each side
prone rear delt db raises: 3 sets failure
Bayesian curls: 3 sets failure
db preacher curls: 3 sets failure each side with 7.5kg db

Hey bro, solid stuff! What are some rough goals to tick off in the offseason 2026 or some things you'd want to nail first before starting prep for 2027? I'm assuming you're coaching yourself?

I'm self coached and i feel confident in the precontest phase, but I'm considering hiring somebody to handle my offseason mostly (I'd still follow their precontest approach). The two choices are a UK Pro-Coach guy who's been living here in China for 21 years; I'd be his only foreign client as he only works with Chinese. You may not have even heard of him as his coaching business is basically 100% referral and in person based rather than social media. I don't know if he's even on IG as he's much more integrated into Chinese society. That or AJ Sims. I got a feeling the main benefit of the coach will be holding me accountable to put the fucking fork down offseason. I just have crazy high appetite even late offseason and can eat outrageous amounts of even clean bodybuilding food and end up overdoing a surplus even on chicken+rice+green beans.

Offseason milestones and goals: Something like 107-110kg in good shape where I *could* be ready in 16 weeks without doing anything extreme. But if I do a full on prep I won't give myself any less than 22 weeks just to be safe.

The main goal is basically have a more balanced physique with glutes that are developed enough to show well next time I'm on stage and have lats from the front much more developed. There's going to be plenty of cuts between now and then; I can't stay in a surplus for literally 14 months.

I heighted in at 179.5cm so my cap is 94.8kg. I'm 181 when I've got more bodyfat and fluid though.
 
the condition is good, you live in China so, it will be very quick for you to have supplies and replenishments :)
Yes sir! we used to be able to buy raws and have them delivered to our houses 2-3 days shipped. Those days are over and probably never coming back. But gh and peptides are extremely available and affordable. I live in Guangdong province very near hong kong where lots of pharmacies sell AAS OTC, or I can get on a plane to Bangkok and be there in around 3 hours. Normally I buy from Chinese ugls and have only had 1 bad experience.

I've still got around 200ml of brewed up test sustanon, 30ml ment, 10ml 500mg EQ, 45ml tren ace, 30ml deca in case of emergency. No masteron though and I'm straight up not going to use it if there hasn't been a big change in the market because what I was taking for my prep was definitely fake masteron and was just testosterone.

Food is surprisingly cheap, except beef. It's overall a great country to bodybuild in.

Single leg extensions: 30kgx20, 15, 12 each side
seated ham curls: 75kgx15, 9
leg press: just up to 4ppsx10 but left adductor hurt so I quit before worksets
paused SLDL: 140kgx13
Standing unilateral ham curl: 25kgx15, 10 each side
Nautilus selectorized leg press: 20, 15, 12 didn't feel great but easier on adductor
hip thrust: 2ppsx15, 10

I will need to find a main squat/leg press movement to get around the adductor pain. PRobably RFESS/FFESS or step ups. I'll see how the hack squats and v-squats machines feel too; belt squat was actually the most painful of the bunch.

NG chins: bwx 10,8,10 not very hard, keeping reps in the tank and making sure all lats and not letting upper back/rear delt take over
Underhand pulldowns: 135lbx17, 11, 8
hammer strength upper back row: 2ppsx10, 1ppsx15, 12
DY hammer strength rows: 1ppsx15, 12, 10 with extra 1-2 on right side after each set
rear delt prone db raises: 7.5kg dbsx3 sets failure
Lat pulldown facing away curls: 12.5kgx10, 10kgx12, 10 not sure if I'm describing this well... basically it's like a seated incline curl but with elbows braced against the pads of a lat pulldown machine
machine preacher curls: 3 sets

106.85kg this morning. idk YOLO LOL.
 
so I'm starting a new job in January. not sure the exact date. It's the same job, new workplace only 18km away so not a drastic move or anything. Kinda weird timing to start a mini-cut as I'm getting settled into a new job. Kinda tempted to just keep bulking and not start a mini-cut until february.

Leg extensions: 40kgx20, 12, 33kgx17
lying ham curls: 95x10, 80x10x2
rfess: 35kg db (in one hand)x12x3 each side, one hand holding db one hand holding a stick against the ground for balance supprt
belt squat rdl: 2ppsx12, 3ppsx12


My hams were still sore as fuck from sunday's workout so I took it VERY easy on ham curls. glutes+quads both felt fine yet I couldn't really push either of those hard due to left adductor. Still a productive session. The left adductor still didn't feel great doing the rfess, but it wasnt' terrible either. I should probably just do rfess and do only right side for 3 weeks or so until adductor heals up. My left is way stronger, bigger, and more mobile than my right from years of split jerking anyway.
