maybe
For a belt-suspenders sterility approach you can even add some chlorobutanol besides BA?
Chlorobutanol - Wikipedia
It is already used in some big-pharma Testosterone formulations

I second that.
EO is just Bill Roberts BS IMO.
Same as guaiacol.
He doesn't even mention chlorobutanol the bacteriostatic most often used by big pharma.
I do have a script for this so...no worries
pictures aren't the best but thought I would add it to the data bank
5 ml vials, carrier is seseme oil, 200mg/ml with 1% chlorobutanol as preservative
Has anyone used this as a preservative in aas? I mean all the homebrewers out there. I know several pharma brands use this at .5% as a preservative. It is also a weak local anaesthetic which also seems to lend itself to how we use it. Seems you could get away BA with this and possibly lower...
I think pharmaceutical companies may be getting away with just using chlorobutanol due to the fact their products are produced under much more sterile conditions than the typical homebrew. But then again, Watson Test E only list chlorobutanol in sesame while their Test C has bb 20% with ba 0.9%...
...to the pain. Tried again with MCT and 15% BB and 1% BA...same thing. Next go I will eliminate the BA and try it. If still no bueno...I will try it with 1% BA and no BB and see it that is it. Kind of sucks but I must have some weird reaction to one of them

Non-use in products of parabens, chlorobutanol and some other agents implies only clandestine production and deliberate purpose to sell as many products as possible at as low as possible...
I have the steps that Watson's Test E is made from for 200 ml which is with sesame oil and chlorobutanol. I have the steps that pfizer uses to make 200 ml cypionate which they use cotton seed oil. I guess I will have to make a few small batches and see what works, luckily I have 500 g on hand...
Now why am I NOT surprised..1/200! ...05%! I wonder if the chlorobutanol at the right Ph would be pip-free.Very interesting!
Thank you for the response!
Hope you hang out, would really enjoy conversing with you on occasion.

so you might use chlorobutanol at say .02-.05% as an antimicrobial instead of BA?
Its awesome to have a chemist here, its what people must have felt conversing with Antoine Lavoisier long ago

...- supermarket oil doesn't cut it)
Do they even know why they are using BA and BB?
Do they know of the other options such as chlorobutanol?
Are they using aseptic procedure and sterilizing everything with heat and time in either dry ovens or autoclaves? Not "chemical" sterilization...
