Anabolic-androgenic steroids are probably the least dangerous category of drugs scheduled under the Controlled Substances Act (CSA) even though the medical side effects are irrelevant to the scheduling criteria of the CSA. According to the American Medical Association, they do not meet the traditional Control Substances Act criteria for scheduling. It’s time to move away from the argument that “we should legalize drugs because, hey, they aren’t that harmful.” My take on the “right” approach tends to be more oriented around civil rights and the costs of using prisons as tools of social control. Now, these are the types of posts I like to see! It is such a sad thing when you see time and time again about the "steroid scandal" how every "expert" on the situation says that steroids are bad cause they kill you. Damn, I wish "The Truth About Steriods" was shown to every damn "expert" in USA so they can see how ignorant they really are.

Even if this did happen, I have a feeling they'd only legalize test variants, deca, and maybe dbol and anidrol. I just have a hard time imagining the gov. allowing people to get abombs or tren fr personal use.

lmao, make steroids legal, not in this life time please no, look how many 16-19 yr old newbies come on here looking for anadrol and jst about every other mistake thats ready to sign there lifes away lol before theyve even lifted a dam weight, theyve already commited virtual suicide before theyve even got the dam product, nevermind giving it out legally over a counter to people.

This is an example of the view of governments on preformance enhancing drugs in sports and why they will ALWAYS be outlawed.

Performance-enhancing drugs are actually an evil. They undermine sport itself by removing from it honesty, ethics, fairness, health, respect, courage, commitment, and solidarity. As a nation we should be proud to take a lead in this area, and make sure that we do all we can to eliminate any thought of a culture ever developing in this country that regards winning by any means as being, in any circumstances, remotely acceptable. It is not. As a previous speaker mentioned, and I agree with the point, at a certain age young men and womenI am not sure of the age at which they do thismake up their minds that they want to be an All Black, a Silver Fern, an athlete, a swimmer, a triathlete, a marathon runner, a cyclist, or whatever it is. At that level we must ensure that we get the point across very, very clearly that it is certainly not sportingin fact, it is the oppositeto take performance-enhancing drugs. Otherwise, our country will have let loose a virus that will have tremendous long-term negative consequences for us. Performance-enhancing drugs, in short, have no redeeming features.

We support the bill, and we hope that, if necessary, the tribunal and others will come back to us if they need additional powers in the future.

Athletic competition relies on a basic premise: one mans best against anothers, one womans best against anothers, or one teams best against anothers. The entire phenomenon of sport rests on that simple idea. When someone cheats, the value of victory becomes worthless. That is a key part of the very culture of this great sporting nation. Although we may push the ruleseven test them to the limitwe are a nation that plays hard but fair. Fair competition is not a moral ideal; it is a basic principle, which is directly tied to the enjoyment of competing and the value of victory. The contest has more value when athletes compete cleanly. When there is a winner in clean sport, it means something. With doping, someone merely crosses the line first.

Here is the thing on AAS in sports. Why is it that the USA has one of the strictest laws for this, yet when it comes to international competition, we are still the best. Against countries who readily use these compounds to increase phyical performance. Yes, you can become bigger and stronger, but there is NO COMPOUND ON EARTH THAT IMPROVES ABILITIES!! Can taking test improve hand/eye cordination and allow you to hit home runs on every swing? No, or else every baseball player in the league would hit them every time to bat. There are only a select few with that type of ability with AAS or not. What about football, does taking these products allow a quarterback to throw the ball with pinpoint accuracy 40 yards? Not even close, because NFL quarterbacks who are great are far and few between. Can it allow you to juke your defense on the football feild or basketball court? Once again, not a damn chance. That comes from natural ability and endless hours of drills being done. And what about say, the Olympics? We all know about Ben Johnson, but seriously, how many people do we ALL know who take winny? How many of them can even run an 11 second 100 yard dash much less a 9.8? Or how many of our insanely strong friends can throw a shot put, discuss, or jav like they do? I will tell you.. ZERO!! Professional athletes and ANY Sport as such is determined by one thing and one thing alone... TALENT!! No matter how much we want to believe otherwise, we can NOT take a magic pill and improve that.
And as far as being bad for you. That is why it was only allowed to adults to keep kids away from it. They thought that worked with alcohol and god knows that worked. I dont know ANY kids that can get that! Fucking idiots in congress. I would like to have a group of people just go to debate them. I have watched every single discussion they have had regarding these issues and there is not ONE point they have that cannot be countered. And I would be the FIRST to not be so polite and say "Well, that might not be all accurate" I would call them on their bullshit. That is how I am in life and the business world. I would say, "Your wrong, plain and simple. Next try!"
Ok, sorry, just letting off a little steam cause I didnt hit the gym today and this topic pisses me off cause we are in the land of the free but we are told how to live our lives. Something isnt right about that!

big bench, i'll march to washington with you brother. that last line said it. we live in a land of partial freedom decided not by the people but by a few in charge.

as far as steroids in sports goes, they do make you stronger and bigger but that doesn't necessarily transfer to better performance although i'm sure in some cases it does. basically, you are born with talent or you're not. if steroids are banned because they are performance enhancers, then why isn't everything banned? Creatine is a substance made by the body (just like testosterone) that provides the means for acquiring ATP for muscle contraction. Now there is a ton of research showing that creatine has a positive effect on strength and in turn the building of new muscle. Same goes with l-arginine and its effect on nitric oxide and vasodialation. So why aren't they banned as well. Because steroids work much much better? It makes no sense.

And as far as making them legal, it can be made fairly simple. There should be a legal age to obtain them, 21. To get them you must go through an extensive course that discusses all aspects of steroid usage so that the people using them will be very knowledgable on the subject. Once you finish the course, you get a certain level license. For example Level 1 license would be able to purchase test and ancillaries, level 2 would be able to purchase all anabolic steroids and ancillaries, and level 3 would be able to purchase all steroids, ancillaries, and peptides (HGH, IGF, etc). To obtain the next license, you must have done at least a previous level cycle or two and complete another course. Now, on top of that, you can only purchase these through the same group that provides the course. When purchasing, you can only purchase what you have a license for and only enough for a single cycle (ancillaries and PCT included). So there would be a limit on the amount one could purchase in a time period. This would help keep them from being taken in an unhealthy way as well as help keep them in the hands of people of age and with licenses. I'm sure some will disagree with this, but it is a safe way of making them legal. I'm sure it could use some adjustments but the general idea is a good one i believe. What do y'all think?
