The Norfolk County Police Anti-Crime Task Force and Millis Police Department busted Daniel Pease on steroid distribution and steroid conspiracy charges. Pease purchased raw steroid powders from China and manufactured oral and injectable steroids in an underground lab in his apartment.
This was a relatively small-time steroid bust except that authorities discovered a how-to-make-anabolic-steroids instruction list [...]

Sigh...the ignorance of the local police (tranquilizers used to make steroids?) is absolutely astounding...that detective doesn't even have the first clue what he is talking about.

And yet...thats the point, really, isn't it? The average cop, who may be out there on the streets every day dealing with REAL drug addicts and REAL criminals, knows damn well that steroids don't create problems for cops to deal with. Heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, those are real drugs that can create real addictions, and the addicts who use them commit real crimes that hurt society.

Steroids, in contrast, do not addict their users, and steroids users typically don't go around committing crimes, other than, of course, using steroids. The health and safety concerns for society regarding steroids don't even begin to compare to the dangers of "hard" drugs.

We are being swept away by a tidal wave of ignorance, and things are only getting worse every day.
