1st cycle, out of shape, high bodyfat

You are on your way gorilla. Losing 12lbs of fat is an accomplishment. When you realize how hard you have to work tho build 12lbs of muscle it will make you realize even more how badly you never want to go back. Your not fucking around - like huck said keep up the hard work!
I was just like that once as well, 300+lbs. Im 247lbs as of this morning and starting to see all hard work I've put in show itself. Everyday i look in the mirror and a little more of that disgust i had is turned into and proud motivation. Keep it up!
 
Your progress and the advice given to you has inspired me to actually make an account here and stop lurking. Good stuff, man.
Thanks! And welcome! Same thing happened to me a couple months back, was reading through threads on here and primarily seeing positive exchanges of information and inspiration. .. had to jump in the conversations.
 
What drawing back blood? Is that something in supposed to be doing? Or is it a bad thing?
I draw my 1ml, swab the front/outside of my quad with an alcohol wipe, stick needle in, and inject the oil. It's this wrong? Lol. Probably should of asked a lot sooner but better late than never

Its called aspiration. Its to check and make sure your not in a vein. Some do it some don't.

I actually went through what you are going through now. My mom got cancer I stoped going to the gym. I put on about 60 lbs. All the going out of town for treatment. I ate a lot of fast food. Not to mention the added stress. I didn't handle it very well at all. I ate my sadness away. I'm back to where I was before bf% wise. Been hard at it for a while now. Everything is right back to where I was when I stoped working out. However I don't look the same. I will never have a 6 pack again. Very depressing to me. So I just look in the mirrior get pissed at myself. That motivates me to just make a new me everyday.
I can't wait to see your end results. Keep hard at it everyday!


Why not being able to have a six pack anymore?

Sick kids today, felt better this evening and we didn't feel like cooking, so ordered pizza. Garlic ranch chicken club. .. sadly no photo cuz the shit was gone before it could even cool off a minute. .. same with the jojos lolol... felt great to get some carbs in! My metabolism is apparently in high gear now, cuz end of day weight, even a few hours after pizza, is same as this morning. ... my losses are MY gains!

Yup I hear ya. I think I've had MAYBE 3 in the last 6 weeks?... I would like to go a month straight with the diet locked down and no cheating, before incorporating them in on a specific schedule.... just noticing that having kids and travelling all the time for work kinda throws a wrench in sometimes. When I do cheat though I keep it light... I used to polish off a large pizza and a 2 liter of soda in one sitting... last night, myself, I had a slice of pizza and a handful of Jojo's. So I got a quick fix without going nuts.

I agree with that 100%. I did my diet super strict. No cheat for 2 months. Feel like crap all the time. Some told me cheat meals every 10 days would help. I tried it out had more energy cravings not as bad. Preformed better in the gym as well. I burned more calories from it than I ate.
Dude everytime I see you pic I get a little creep out. Fuk scary kids give me the willys :eek:

In general absolutely. I just know that it is good to get that routine and dedication down. That's why when I was younger and bodybuilding, or starting camp for a fight, the first 4 weeks were to be completely clean, to get that discipline to a point where I would not faulter, and get a good start on the cut... then every Sunday after that initial 4 weeks was cheat day, because I always got my stats and bodyfat tested Sunday mornings. That is also when we would make changes to my diet, adjust my fat and/or carb intake, increase conditioning etc. based on my results.
