Just a heads up as Ghoul painted a rosy picture here probably has stock in accutane(I'm joking...relax) but some of the side effects are semi-permanent even permanent after the use of accutante ,lke dry lips etc.....
I don't have any negative side effects that lasted beyond 8 weeks after stopping,
Most reports of "permanent" are anecdotes from people who are a few weeks off and think that because they stopped taking the pills and everything didn't return to normal overnight they're stuck that way forever.
Eyes immediately went back to normal, lips took about 6 weeks.
From the countless studies I've read, permanent side effects are exceedingly rare, with the most common post treatment issue being a return of acne (and that's often from poor compliance, too short of a treatment duration, and too low of a cumulative dose).
Some people who had rare forms of acne with preexisting dry skin ended up with somewhat drier skin. But that's very rare as well, given that acne is almost always accompanied by excess oil production.
If anything, I wish oil production hadn't rebounded quite as much on my nose, but it's far more manageable than before. Everywhere else skin isn't dry, but not excessively oily either. I notice the difference in my back and scalp the most,
It's like the hysteria and fear mongering over liver damage. Go ahead and see how many cases of liver damage you can find mentioned in medical literature among the tens of millions of accutane users.
