After zapcap questions

What kind of real doctor doesn't have $5k to spare?
Yet another reason to regret quitting medical college, huh "doc"?

The point isn't about having money to spare. The point is to get a rough estimate of the mass of people who would love to see you kill yourself :)

Pretty sure you can easily make an aseptic glovebox out of an discarded baby incubator

you don't need the controls to work, just the box structure.

I filter into a 500ml media bottle, pour into my mouth and then spit roughly 11 maybe 12 ml into each vial. I know, i know, not the most perfect technique, but haven't had an issue in about 15 years.
Oh so thats the secret to giving it that extra kick huh? Taking notes [emoji23]

dude, just get a bottle top dispenser, they save time, and keep your media bottle from being exposed to air. you can set the ml you want it pump out and 1 pump, stopper, cap, crimp done.

i thought i was the only one, i try to see how many vials i can fill with one mouth full.

Hey bro, how do you go about sterilizing that dispenser after your done. Pressure cooker? Autoclave?

Some can be autoclave,
A good dispenser is the Brinkman Chemsaver.
I don't think bottle top dispensers can be easily and cheaply sterilized.
Even if they can be autoclaved, how many homebrewers or even UGL own an autoclave?

Sterile plastic pipettes (like giand droppers) is cheap and totally sterile.

(sterile) syringes can also work, but drawing is a bit more time consuming.

They’re easy to sterilize takes 15 minutes or so I think.

Pressure cooker doubled as autoclave, drying is the tricky part.
Adding a return spring to a syringe makes it a dispenser

Springs, being made out of metal, can be baked or even flamed for total sterility.

Syringes come perfectly sterile, are cheap, very accurate, seal perfectly and are widely available.
What's not to like?

Yeah but in my opinion it f your filtering into a media bottle you’re probably past personal use at that point. Dispensers would make for a quicker more efficient process with less room for contanmination than other methods and if you’re at that point you owe it to your customers to provide them with the best/safest product possible.
