Anavar 5mg cycle for Strength?

Hello. I've read that doing 5mg of anavar might not do much but wondering is it worth doing 5mg for strength and endurance factor? I'm a female and have the concern of getting noticeable side effects such as oily skin/hair, break outs, agitation, unfocused (any of this would be unfavorable for what I do workwise, or at home). I'm not doing this for a cut or bulk (I am in a slight calorie surplus though). Certainly, I could bump it up a bit if no sides, but just wanted to know is it worthwhile being on a low dose for 6 wks (my goal is to get the strength to build up lower body more; upper body is not my concern). Thanks!

I did 10 mg for 7 weeks. I held water, and the only sides I had were hot flashes. My hair and skin did not change or get oily. I think that may just depend on the person. Anavar is amazing for strength and endurance. Do not go in to the cycle thinking you’ll lose fat. Var will make you hold water. I would counteract it with dandelion root or some supplements to help with that. Also, I know some women have noticed a increase in hunger. Var makes you work your ass off. So you may notice you need to bump your calories, however since you’re in a surplus, you may be okay.

5mg/day is a very solid dosage that’s capable of producing great results. Referencing my wife’s experience here...

Thanks for the feedback. I did hear about holding water possibly (i'm bloated no matter what!). How was your menstrual cycle if you don't mind me asking. Wow, that's an awesome increase in weight on your squats!

Thanks for the reply. Nice to hear your wife had good results on a low dosage. Do you recall her having any side effects? I know everyone is different but it's just helps...

In my opinion from what I've seen, 5mg would yield minimal sides. The last solo anavar run my girl did was at 20mg per day. Strength gains were good, very minimal water retention if she kept her sodium and water high. I often see women not getting nearly enough sodium and that definitely contributes.

I also have a close friend who's on 25mg per day and she isn't having any sort of sides either. Her water intake is a bit less, maybe only a gallon a day and about 4,000-5,000mg sodium

Oh gosh, my period was a mess. I would spot, then stop for a week then have a full period a week later. But I have an IUD, so that probably made it weirder. It’s back to normal now. It took a month to straighten out. For my next cycle which I will start in July, I will start a BOdy fat loss cycle for macros and increase my cardio and continue to take dandelion root to try and combat the water.

Thanks for the reply. Interesting how everyone reacts differently to it.

Wife has used 25/day before. Only sides she had are increased libido and her lady parts swelled a bit. She's also used test in the past.

Yes...there were some side effects. Scratchy throat (even at that dosage), increased clitoral sensitivity and sexual drive (awesome for us both!), some minimal acne. Her scratchy throat and everything else went right back to normal after her run.

Significant muscular development and overall hardness. Solid strength gains too!

Did she use a pct afterwards (if so, what exactly?), or did she taper down the var dosage towards the end?

Oh - did you happen to use pct after your cycle or did you just taper down towards the end?
