me and my older buddy were chatting today and we got into a conversation about back in the day. ne ways anyone remeber this drink that they used to sell at gyms and supplement store called hot stuff it was only out for a very shot time because some one had the brilliant idea to actuly try to put reall deal oral roids in the shit. ne ways he was tellin me how dudes were gettin big on it and then the it was found out very soon and it got yanked off the shelf this was years and years ago anyone rember this stuff and what was in it or the story behind it?

All in the family

It was right around this time that a small family-owned company had a brainstorm. An entrepreneur named Tom Ciola came up with the idea of using all of the popular ingredients and combining them in a freeze-dried glandular protein base (yum). Herbs like yohimbe were added for their "stimulative" effect so the consumer would "feel" the concoction working. He called it Hot Stuff, and it became an overnight success. Hot Stuff flew off the shelves! Stores couldn't restock fast enough. It seemed as if a supplement finally had been developed that mimicked the effects of steroids. Was it a synergistic effect of all the combined nutrients that made Hot Stuff so effective? Or was it something more?

There have been accusations alluded to by several unrelated sources (who wish to remain anonymous for obvious reasons) that in order for Hot Stuff to "make sure" that its initial release would create a stir, it had to contain an additional ingredient not listed on the can. Something that would leave no doubt of its effectiveness in the user's mind. Something that would bring them back for more. Rumor has it that this "something" was methyltestosterone.

Methyltestosterone is an inexpensive form of orally absorbable testosterone that works quickly and effectively to raise strength and aggression. It's also extremely liver toxic. It would appear to be a good choice as an added ingredient for another reason: it's undetectable in a drug test. The "insiders" theory is that, even if the FDA somehow found out about the drug being used, all of the canisters would already be sold. An inspection of the National Health (makers of Hot Stuff) facility would show no wrongdoing. No evidence has ever been found to substantiate these claims. The rumors seem far-fetched, to say the least, but there was a period when Hot Stuff was pulled from the shelves for reasons that have always been mired in ambiguity. There was a "new and improved" version released shortly thereafter, but anyone familiar with the "first" Hot Stuff will tell you that the new one never quite duplicated the characteristic "kick" of the original.
 
back in 1993, a bud of mine actually had to go to his Dr b/c he couldnt sleep for days after using HOT STUFF.ge gave it to me....my roommate was working out in those days and didnt believe it would do anything ,,,he aid supplements "sucked".
well, one morning i got up to go work(4AM) and my roommate was just sitting at the table....said he had a shake of HOT STUFF and couldnt sleep,,,he stayed up for a couple of days, LOL

I remember Hot Stuff, It had something in it. I don't remember it keeping me awake but, I do remember it made me feel great at the gym.
Ya know, with the cheap gear powders today, Maybe some smart bro can come up with a good cheap protein drink (with supplements, ;) ;) ) that we could get underground. The name hot stuff might be available again! LOL
I do remember Hot Stuff though, it started the whole wave of supplements trying to out do each other,but nothing ever worked like hot stuff.
It figures, had to be something illegal.

Gaurana and Ma Huang were in my hotstuff back when I used it in the mid to late 90's. And we all know what that is, so thats why we had that rush when on HS.
 
it was THE supplement back in the day...when it came back out as "new and improved" it really sucked.......

Never used Hot Stuff, but by the time it came out I had already used its precursor HOT SAUCE, as well as Cybergenics.Needless to say I was finished using magic supplements LOL. F*****g high school dumbass I was .

I got roped into Cybergenics as well. Hot Sauce was a Hot Stuff knock off not a precursor I believe.
 
I remember it but it never did shit for me except get me buzzing like I had to much caffeine or something

Maybe it was the liquid version to Hot Stuff powder, regardless it was worthless.
Anyone remember Enermax, used to drop it sublingually under my tongue for "super" energy during a workout. Complete farce
 
Yikes. I'm "old school" already??? Hot Stuff wasn't that long ago. I must be getting old...

I used it for a short time. As I remember, it tasted nasty and didn't do much for me.
 
shit we people called it horny stuff the yohimbe in it was alot amt. and people would alwayts spring em in the gym, that got around quickit was like the first sex supplement/muscle builder of its time,i think i saw a ad for them not too long ago, are they still in bussiness?
 
It used to be the best natural stuff for bulking when i was younger. From what i heard,oral aas was found in it. I believe it was off the market for some time and came back,but the new stuff was just not the same.
 
I used it when it first came out. I mixed it with apple sauce. Easier on the palate. Made good gains with it. The improved version was nothing like the original.
 
I liked it

I used it in 1990. I got really good results. I was getting ready to go into the army and was training pretty hard and running. Added the Hot Stuff to the routine and liked the results. Never found anything leagal that worked as well for me. Thought it was odd. I was never the leanest guy in the world, but i got ripped on the stuff. I was naive enough to think it was the running I was doing to get ready to go to basic training. Maybe the Hot Stuff had more to do with it than I thought.

I must have had the new one because I didn't see any improvments that would make me think that there was any juice in it. It also tasted like crap.
