Anyone else about sick to fucking death of the term "social distancing"?

People running around infect others. Look, this is all standard pandemic protocol for 100 years. We know how contagion operates.

the problem is even if you do exhibit symptoms you can infect the fuck out of so many others for a couple weeks before you feel it. Or you can be among the 50% that have it and won’t get symptoms.

it’s a human life value thing. So you allow laypersons to make epidemiological decisions? Chrissakes I hope not.

This is a bullshit statement.

Corona has been here since at least Jan 1st. Even with the bullshit “presumed corona related” deaths it has not killed more people than the flu. 63,000 deaths by flu for 2020 (with the flu vaccine) compared to 59,000 corona

Corona largely does not affect children, yet the flu is responsible for children dying. Who the fuck cares about 92 year old grandma dying of corona when 12 year old Susie passes away from the flu. Which is more tragic.

Stop talking CNN out of your ass. You’re horrible at this.

FACTS
Actually they’re saying it was possibly even around in September or November, which makes the death toll even less.

Do you know what epidemiological studies are?

And for some of the lame ass replies, Corona is just getting warmed up. We have 12 more months of this before a vaccine Let’s see what the geometric progression gets ya in 6 months.

Ok since you brought it up... herd immunity. This should be even more reason to open things back up so we can develop an immunity or at the very least, build up an immunity to it.

And just to be clear, we have to open the country back up. I don’t think anyone is suggesting we stay home for the duration of 2020

The death rate is the death rate. That doesn’t change whether 100 people are infected or 100,000,000.

You’re trolling the fuck out of this thread because YOU and the other Karen’s of the world only say “stay home”. What’s your solution? Oh yea, passively WAIT. That’s thumb-sucker mentality.

Our solution is simple. Return to NORMAL now. The RISK doesn’t merit this response.

When? After we “flatten the curve”? When is the curve flattened if we will live in danger of the unseen enemy until a vaccine is developed? And for God’s sake, how the hell is a vaccine going to help when the fucking flu vaccine doesn’t do shit??? And don’t give me the typical line that it DOES help, because they get it right with the right strain 30% of the time.

Well, I’m comforted that professionals across the globe are collaborating on the solution. I don’t pretend to know.

I get a kick out of some of the emotional replies here.

Emotional because the virus doesn’t scare me. It’s the economic issues that people like you can’t see because you’re brainwashed by the media hysteria.

At what point do these #stayhome people start to feel stupid because the rest of the world around them goes back to normal?

Well the whole world is doing this to some degree. Leaders are making decisions based on the latest info and models.

keeping people home is about the worst thing for everyone. Governments included. They’re doing it (the world) because of this balancing act.

so governments made this decision knowing it was fucking the economy. No one wins from this isolation

In six months you'll have the same averages but slightly higher numbers. Point being? How do you define getting warmed up? Not 30% infection? Where does that threshold begin for you? 50%? 60%?

You assert the curve will flatten to a stable rate of infection and death. I don’t dispute. But in12 months most of us will have contracted it.

the curve goal doesn’t save lives. The curve keeps hospitals from collapsing under the weight of infected people
