Boston is starting to hit above the 40% infection rate. It's time to make people lick shopping cart handles and get this over with.Great article on the different levels of lockdown imposed by different states and countries, and their respective differences in virus related deaths - hint, none at all.

. . .
But there is zero correlation:
. . .
- California: Heavy lockdown, 4.6 deaths per 100,000;
- Iowa: No lockdown, 4.3 deaths per 100,000;
- Texas: Light lockdown, 2.4 deaths per 100,000;
- Washington state: Heavy lockdown, 10.0 deaths per 100,000;
- Colorado: Inconsistent lockdown, 12.2 deaths per 100,000;
- Georgia: Late Lockdown now lifted, 10.0 deaths per 100,000;
- Maine: Heavy Lockdown, 3.8 deaths per 100,000;
- Massachusetts: Heavy Lockdown, 45.7 deaths per 100,000.
Self-evidently, what matters is not how economically suicidal the lockdown regime is from one jurisdiction to the next, but the age, health status and general frailty/vulnerability of the populations at issue. In the case of Washington state where the first corona cases occurred, upwards of 40% of the 690 deaths to date have been in nursing homes, meaning that its general population mortality is just 6.0 per 100,000.

Two weeks and you're good.My antibody test was negative. With as careless as I have been, almost asking for infection, that seemed impossible. Next, I'm running through the infectious ward at my local hospital.. naked.
Sounds like you need to find a small business or a non essential business like a barber and see if you catch it.My antibody test was negative. This just in...Breaking News: Out of 100,000 patients tested, 100% were found to have bacteria and viruses present in their bodies. The entire world will therefore be on lock down indefinitely.
Uhh....but..what about food??
We can't think about things like food right now. We must fight the micro-terrorists!!!
Not technologically savvy, trying to post a link for the first time.

Folks alot smarter in virology than us are still arguing if this was man made or occurred naturally...if we can't even agree on that....how can we know how bad this can be?
I'm embarrassed for some of you with the responses I'm reading... I had a cousin that thought it was BS and he's just recovering from it and was almost put on a ventilator...i lost one of my oldest friends, and a mentor who also didn't take this seriously...I have 2 former co workers recovering, because that job makes distancing almost impossible, another lifelong friend who's wife is a nurse and jut tested positive, and lastly, because i didn't want my mom risking exposure i took my uncle to his dialysis treatment this past week on tuesday..he was rushed to the hospital in the middle of treatment and has since tested positive for COVID-19, this past Friday i developed a dry cough and luckily was able to get a same day Appointment, yesterday that test came back positive...So, this isn't some hoax or Game or any other of that bullshit...this is real and i guess since some of you don't know anyone personally suffering from it you don't give a shit... and that is SAD...I'm a business owner, and it really hurts me because my business is in tourism, so i am in a crunch even with a PPP loan...but i view this as a minor inconvenience, if this overly cautious approach stops an possibly even worse situation down the road, which could take more lives . I hear you but people aren't locked in their homes, that can still shop, exercise, and viist family ...we just have to do without some of the things that are very likely to contribute to the sread of this virus, and that's not forever, so no one is losing their Freedom, being sold as a slave in a third world country is losing your freedom, this i just an inconvenience...and since it seem to be a guessing game about its long term effects i would rather try to nip it in the bud now, than deal with a worse situation later.Firstly, sorry about your loss. Secondly, hope you feel better soon. I might be mistaken but I don't think anyone is arguing that this virus is not deadly. The argument is that the loss of the economy and the loss of freedom trumps the relatively low death rate. 2.69 million people died of regular pneumonia in 2017, 9 million last year of starvation (being ENTIRELY preventable) , the steps taken in this case seem to be way out of proportion to the inherent risks associated with this particular virus. When you look at the rhetoric coming out of politicians and people like Gates it seems to be more about media and social engineering! We in the west have a long history of carrying out experiments on our own citizens as well as the undeveloped world. Given the mounting body of evidence in this case I tend to agree.
Have I gone to get my aging mothers groceries? Yes! Will I sacrifice my as well as my son's financial future and security? Absolutely fucking not!
I also will not give up my freedom for ANYTHING!
I live in NY and our cases are trending down, due to measures put in place...It has nothing to do with whether the virus is a hoax. It's clearly not. It also isn't really about whether it's man made, or even intentionally released. Those are completely separate issues.
The issue is whether the lockdowns are doing more harm than good, and indeed whether they have changed the number of deaths at all. The article I posted yesterday argues convincingly that they haven't. And there's no question the lockdowns have and continue to cause considerable harm to lives and property.
