Just curious if anyone over 35-40 still pct? Seems like an updated procedure of getting super high levels only to have them plummet as soon as your off. ESP if older wity kids etc

I do.

Not for the reasons a young person would. By reducing the PEDs and going back to "Normal" we can see where all our blood values are. Blood values generally help medical professionals see what could be happening inside our bodies BEFORE negative side effects effect the quality of our life.

Our ability to have children is important. So is the rest of our health too.

How old are you? How’s your cycles and how’s the TT a few months after?

I am 51.

Generally I run 250 to 500 mg of Test E for 12 to 16 weeks. Then I come off for 12 to 16 weeks. Rinse and repeat. I have since I was about 38. When I was younger I pushed the cycles much longer and also used far more chemicals.

Now my goals are more about my long term health and enjoying life with my family. When I was 18 - 35 I wanted to lift more than you, now I just want to enjoy my life on my terms. I am not competing with anyone but myself.

Don’t you think it’s unhealthier on that body the highs and lows and basically going 16 weeks with most likely extremely low test levels. I think homeostasis at 300 year round is likely healthier and better gains over time.

No.

I have a doctor. I pay someone with a medical degree to make the calls for me. I am older now and my body has less tolerance for me playing doctor. Trust in Science, not my gut.

Is that the only compound you run? How's your bloods during the 250-500mg (lipids ...) ? Was thinking of doing the same. I know we all different, I'm just curious.

Can you show me the science that pct and low t for 16 weeks is healthier than staying on 300 mg test?
I can show studies that 6 months on 300 test showed little to no change in health parameters (except maybe a 6 point drop in HDL)... I’ll have to search for them but I remember reading 2 like that

Study looked at test E at 300 mg for 6 months and they concluded:

Except for mild truncal acne, weight gain, and increases in hematocrit, we detected no significant adverse health effects

Doesnt even have to be 300mg, thats still cycle territory. I recently lowered my test from 200mg test e a week to 100mg a week. My test levels at 200mg were 2350, more than double the high normal lab range. I felt great, but im a fatty so my estrogen was way high. I think that not having negative markers at 300mg probably is very individual, and if true TRT between cycles is the goal, matching natural levels is probably the safe way to go.

Of course trt levels are safer but where’s the fun in that?!?

My personal situation in no way should weigh on anyone else. At my age and with my medical situation I am doing what is right for me. I am not a proponent of PCT or anything else I am doing, they are just the right choices for me.

I was only sharing some people over 35 do use PCT. I am not suggesting that it is for everyone, nor do I feel it is a superior way to go. In my case it was though.

Only thing I go by anymore are labs. If labs are fine I keep right on poking away, at minimal at least TRT!! Who cares what lab improvements you would see if you discontinued everything, if discontinuing test meant you'd assume die anyways because you felt like shit and couldn't fuck your old lady to save your life! No thanks, TRT please
