You can tell him or show him whichever there's alot of guy's here pulling for him so he's not alone shit happens but that doesn't mean he can't put it behind him and move on.He’s here but not looking good at all time to get to work
I take 6 years Tuesday ... and run gear relapse is from not working a programFrom my experience many recovering addicts, steroids have led to relapse. Going clean means going clean.
Got him in a sober living home a few blocks from my house ... they are friends of mine .... he landed here with only the close on his back .... ty for all the help and support guys
Congrats on 6 yrs but remember "just for today"I take 6 years Tuesday ... and run gear relapse is from not working a program
Its unfortunate that that has been your experience. Not mine. I'm coming up on 4 years and stay active in my recovery. Key word active. I run 2 mens homes and the #1 cause of relapse is not working a program (resting on laurels) #2 unwillingness to do whatever it takes. From my experience many recovering addicts, steroids have led to relapse. @wedorecover if I can ever do anything to help let me know. I Love all addicts/alcoholics the same. I hate to see one of us suffer. It breaks my heart.

I would never advise a newly sober person to run gear. Especially with the addictive and impulsive nature of an addictive type. Shit I had a lot of concerns with it myself after three sobers. I'm already pinning TRT and in the beginning just a needle alone scared me. Now I don't even think about it. Its just part of day to day routines.Maybe it should morph into an anti aas thread. Deprived of the chosen stimuli (drugs, alcohol) addicts and alcoholics rush to plan b. Pussy, aas, work, food- anything to blot out the reality of the situation and change the fact that they are still the exact same person who picked up in the first place- worse off due to substance abuse damage.
People are quick to cosign gear or girls or food since it is less destructive than dope, but anything that distracts an addict from the work they have to do on themselves to change basically postpones the inevitable relapse. I sponsor a long line of people who try to pretty up everything but their spiritual condition... and I always seem to see them getting white chips or rip's on Facebook. Its whatever, but gear is hardly a healthy alternative to drugs and alcohol to a new person in recovery.
Congratulations brotherThat's funny. I have 6 years in a couple weeks. Tis the season.
