Are domestic package seizures a big deal?

I'd just say if a package gets seized, consider the address burned and that you're on a list and being watched.

I don't think small amounts of anabolics are a big deal so maybe don't sweat it unless like, you're a felon or something. Then again, never getting in trouble is a lot better than a little bit of legal trouble.
They aren't a big deal.. but it is a felony charge and technically if the feds want to once you involve usps it is now a federal crime.
Depending on your area and local judicial system, you can get a 3rd degree felony which has a minimum 3yrs maximum of 5yrs. Now thos is all dependent on said person history. May just get pti, or maybe some probation and a few grand in fines. It's a gamble and any good gambler needs to know the risks and costs of those risks.
I've seen good ppl get smoked in the judicial system for much less. It's very case to case dependent.

Definitely weren't. They would have been busted my now.

If something is off one one package, they will seize whatever else has that same return address/in that bundle.
Maybe they did get busted .. kept it quiet.. maybe they snitched. Unless I was close to the source or in the know. We would never know. I've heard of a guy who got popped made Baio and continued to ship because he needed the income for household bills and attorney fees.
It's not a cut and dry system..
These aren't street drugs.. but they operate very similar and the legal/judicial system treats it the same. 1st-3rd degree manufacturing/distribution of controlled substances is the same no matter the substance..

I was gonna ask a question about return addresses but I stopped because I feel like some info is best kept out of open air.

Sometimes I feel like these forums are giving the cops to much info.. I know thats a little niaeve..

Often they'll just throw it to local PD and it will be a state charge. It can really go any number of ways, it really depends on the moods of whoever is in charge. Sometimes the President wants arrests for child porn and these things get caught in the same processes. Sometimes a prosecutor has a hard on about in a local jurisdiction. Sometimes they just don't care.

Not going to say how to break the law here, but don't be connected to the package.

Often times this stuff will just be used as fuel for other investigations. So if you're doing other shit, this might help them get a warrant or an excuse to search your phone or watch you or something. Maybe they want to squeeze you because you're connected to someone who's part of an ongoing investigation.

People who've been arrested, likely aren't posting about it online.

Wise person once told me 'Dont break 2 laws at the same time'

I wise person once told me the same thing.. don't do 2 things wrong at 1 time.. I swear it's a good little piece of wisdom!!

Until law enforcement starts building the capability to x-ray every domestic package sent in the mail, domestic seizures are a time-consuming gamble for them.

Unless of course there's powder leaking out your package, no return address...etc...

Crossing international borders you lose all rights to privacy,

Domestically, for the US at least. they cannot open a package without a legal justification. "Looking like drugs" on an x-ray is not sufficient.

Dog sniff, or for steroids especially, a leaking vial would do it.

It's actually far better to have a pack seized by customs than leak at a local post office.

Customs will sent you a letter if they confiscate your gear, but an oil soaked package will be tested by Postal Inspectors and local law enforcement, especially in smaller towns, are sometimes eager to pursue the case, even if it doesn't amount to much in the end. Nobody wants to get raided and arrested.

Someone made a point in another thread (maybe you), that dog sniff is the excuse they use when they already suspect what's in the package.

Yeah they seem to be able to claim just about anything is a dog "alert". That said that's not a method used to detect steroids. In any case, a warrant from a judge is required to open a domestic package, whereas customs can inspect anything.
