I have a question isn’t var a DHT? And isn’t on of the sides of dht hair loss? Could it just be that she reacted badly to it or that it was over dosed?
Anavar does not aromatize or convert to DHT which is why it is considered one of the safest and most sought after oral steroids. oxandrolone is a DHT derivative, meaning, it is already alpha-5 Reduced. It cannot convert back to DHT once it has been metabolized

Anavar or Oxandrolone is specifically a dihydrotestosterone (DHT) hormone that has been structurally altered. It is DHT with an added oxygen atom replacing the carbon-2 in the A-ring. This alteration greatly increases the hormone’s anabolic activity, as well as prevents it from being metabolically broken down

I found another post in a forum where a female tried anavar and it fucked up her hair... Unless her anavar was something else I am guessing because anavar is a DHT derivative it can have a negative effect on some women.

I am starting my 10 week prep and I made the decision to try my first cycle on Anavar. This was a scary choice for me and I'll tell you why. I know that compared to most females, I have naturally higher test in my system. This fact alone has made it easy for me to make quick muscle gains in the past two years, but I have suffered side effects of high DHT and my hair is very thin and frail. I always had thick hair in high school and for the first 2 years of college. Nothing really changed in my lifestyle to make me lose my hair other than working out.
I tried 10mg of var for 2 weeks. The last two days I was on, I felt a mild burning, itchy sensation on my scalp and hair was coming out in clumps after I showered. I frantically explained this to my fiancé, whom is very well educated on most substances, and we decided it would be best that I stop my cycle before it got any worse.
When I googled for forums about females having this "sensation" on their scalp, I only found a few posts that were similar. Most females say it worked well with their bodies.
What people don't seem to realize is that var is a dht derivative. If you are genetically predisposed to thin hair or hair loss (which my whole family has thick hair ), var is only going to speed that process up for you. So if any of you females are experiencing this, I suggest you hop off now and get on peptides and SARMS because you will pretty much never be able to use anything that is androgenic or a dht derivative without experiencing that side effect on some level.

Unless you tested it yourself which i thought you did, you can't say anavar wasn't solely the cause. I know some guys who shed on anavar. Any aas can cause hormonal changes which in turn can rigger hair loss. Low dose var is pretty mild however it can still trigger it along with acne, other dht related sides.
Just saying so if she ever decides to run anything again use caution ! Even with var.

Reading his response that kinda riled up my blood, but hopefully he just didn’t consider how someone would read and be affected by his unsolicited criticism. Or maybe he’s a jealous loser — idk. Either way fuck it.
Thanks for sharing this experience. I know how I feel about my wife and how personal our relationship is, and it means something significant that you are sharing this with the forum. There’s just not enough information on female AAS usage, so everything that can be contributed is substantial.
I work with a guy who didn’t get his pro card but his wife did. He’s sensitive about talking about his past, even though there’s a lot he could share. I really want for him to share her training and supplement history. My wife has been lifting and training seriously for the past two years and wants to up her game, but without more information she won’t pull the trigger on steroid use.
So thanks for sharing, I hope the best for you and the Missus. It would be ideal if she created a thread of her own in the Women’s section. Regardless I will be watching the thread and hope to learn from you experiences.
