Blood pressure

What kind of blood pressure monitor do you guys use? I just bought a Braun and I get different readings when I re check it . I'm only using 300mg of test a week and 7mg of Triz a week. Reading is coming back from 133 over 83 to 138 over 83.

Tips for taking BP reading.
1. Do not smoke, drink caffeinated beverages or exercise within 30 minutes before measuring your blood pressure.
2. Make sure the BP cuff fits. A small cuff will artificially raise BP.
3. Sit and relax for 5 minutes before reading.
4. Avoid talking and/or surfing on your phone during those 5 minutes or during the reading.
5. Sit in an upright position with back supported, feet flat on the floor and your arm supported at heart level. I cannot stress enough how important it is to have your arm elevated so that the cuff is at heart level. Allowing your arm to hang by your side can artificially raise BP.
6. Do not worry about one high reading. If your average reading is high over a full week then you should address it.
7. BP is higher in the morning after waking and lower in the evening before bedtime. Check BP twice in the morning and twice in the evening for a full week and get an average.

I use the

OMRON Platinum Blood Pressure Monitor, Upper Arm Cuff, Digital Bluetooth Blood Pressure Machine

This site provides information regarding validation protocols devices have passed. But as Bama says Omron is a decent one.

Hey, for a blood pressure monitor, I’ve had good results with a basic Omron model. It’s reliable, easy to use, and gives consistent readings. I’d recommend something automatic with an arm cuff for the most accurate results.
