this is a very real fear. i wonder what are the rights of tenants. but he did invite them in. i dont think they need it though.
i own steroid books. as well as other books on drugs. reference and underground. but for the most part they are inaccessible. they are also all legal. but i have also at times possessed materials. some have been explicity against the law. some are not. but put together they could add up to something like a conspiracy charge. or even past criminal activity. even bodybuilding mags or books i dont leave out. hope no one goes in my fridge even though the boxes are sealed. and try explaining them, which ive done. theyre vitamins :D.

Regardless of how a private citizen comes in possession of evidence of criminal activity by another citizen, even if he committed a criminal act in doing so, police can use it as long as the citizen was not working as an agent of the state. In short don't break the law.
