Correct.

Pascal's principal. Pressure put on a liquid will be distributed equally throughout the liquid.

Pressure put on a liquid inside of a tube is distributed equally to all parts of the tube. Basically, the more surface area you have the more pressure you have. I think, lol

In GSO I go 1/10 BA/BB. However in safflower oil I needed a little more for some reason.

How do you put pressure on a liquid if it isn't contained in something?

Well TP at 10/1 worked too bad I fucked up with the the caulk gun, I've put too much strength and the syringe wings broke and the vial fell on the table with the vent pin on.
All the brew is safe but will need refiltering ofc

I think @ickyrica said it once but if you usea smaller syringe (10ml vs 60ml) it will push faster. Less surface area in the syringe.

Yeah no doubt, that is what ive realized. Even with a caulking gun using MCT oil that is still warm, it is still a pain the dick. When Ive used a 3ml syringe, i could easily push it through with my thumb. Im wondering if I could still easily push it through with my thumb using a 10ml syringe with no gun. If anyone has tried this please chime in.

I get it brotha. Basically only reason I said that was that I know how damn expensive it is to have it prescribed.

I can't tell you how many times I thought about bailing and taking my chances due to just how flipping expensive it is from the pharmacy. As it is I only fill about half of the prescriptions he writes me and I only use pharma in the 1 ~ 2 months leading up to my scheduled blood test, since I know how much pharma to take (per week) to hit my target test levels. UGL test has never worked out for me to hit those numbers. I do think that my doctor knows what I am doing for a couple of reasons. One is that even the prescriptions that he writes would only cover about 80% of the time between tests/visits, at least at the dosage that we worked out. And the last time I saw him he asked me "Ok, so what testosterone numbers are you going to bring me back from your next test?" I said "between 500 and 600, of course", to which he replied "Good". Part of it is that he has to document my lab results for the insurance and also feds lately. He told me that TRT docs have tons more (government mandated) paperwork now than ever before.

I heard that it is a lot easier also. I just ordered a couple 5ml and 10ml syringes to test that statement :). I already have some 3ml Leur Lock syringes, so I am set if the 10s and/or 5s are too much (without using a caulk gun).

On a slightly separate topic, I was ordering some filters and wanted to ask if there was a difference between the .2um and .22um filters? (different manufacturers). Would the .22 work well enough to sterilize?

I have one ten ml syringe left! I'll be trying tomorrow night or Wednesday when my supplies come. I'll let ya know.

Apparently, "What that means is, for the purpose of sterilization, 0.2 micron and 0.22 micron filters are indistinguishable. Their performance is the same, only the difference being the designation of their pore size rating."

I've always used and heard that the Whatman .2um from medlabsupply is the safest and best way to go.

Yeah man, let me know how that goes. Shit, If I can push the gear through a 10ml with my thumb easier than a caulking gun with 60ml, I would love it even with having to refill the syringe 4-5 times since I usally make 40-50ml at a time using 1 filter.

From the article I read, you should be g2g with either one. Personally however, I would just steer clear of the .45um & go with Whatman even though they are on the more expensive side.

Thanks, much appreciated. I do have a cart queued up at med lab supply, and do have a couple of whatmans in it, I was just curious about some of the other filters that are available. Thanks again!

I had made a pwo blend once that had a lot of solvent and filtered it through a 10ml syringe and it was super easy but I attributed it to the solvents making it thin but after reading the above posts there might definitely be something to using smaller syringes as opposed to a 60ml. The few times I used a 60 was such a pain in the ass that I just ended saying fuck it I’m only using bottle tops. I’ll just make it worth my while and get the extra raws to justify using the bottle top.

Yeah brotha - I guess bottle tops are my next step. I just usually only make 40 -50ml at a time for personal use and the syringe filters are cheap. What type of carrier oil were you using and how much BB/BA were you using?
