Tbh they probably trust a certain lab and don't want to risk using unknowns when things are at that level.
The thing is this is a game of luck.
Lets say its 1% chance to get busted when you do everything you can for opsec. Even if you order 100 packages you will be busted 1 time on the long term. Lucky people can order 500-600+ packages without that 1% being manifested(its not that unlikely). Some very very unlucky people gets caught ordering their first package- albeit with small chances. But the lucky ones can get careless after getting illlegal goods delivered successfully.
People don't understand probabilites and on steroid boards people like to live in fantasies. Also sources argue against the risk 'nah we had no seizure ever' blabla.

They will send it off to a crime lab for testing. Those results take months. Law enforcement does not have any testing kits for a rapid response on steroids, and even the ones that they do have for drugs like cocaine are not so reliable. Florida publicly reports on a web site a backlog of 44 days on seized drugs sent in for testing.

So tell us what "actually goes down in a courtroom" in Florida when a person is charged with six felonies for possession of schedule III drugs? There have been folks who have been busted on their first order or with very few orders. I don't know what the odds are, but I am sure they are low. Most everybody reading this will never be caught.
I love how everybody thinks IFBB pros have some secret inside source, though. They use the same sources as everybody else. They even get scammed, and if you listen to enough podcasts you will hear them talk about getting bunk gear.
In this case, they are Canadians. Did they really understand how differently Florida treats steroids as compared to home?
No admissions were mentioned in the affidavit, so hopefully they all kept their mouths shut. Maybe a jury will buy that a figure competitor living with two professional bodybuilders did not order this and opened it out of curiosity just because it had her name on it.
At my house, we opened several packages the last few weeks with our names on them that we did not order. Gifts. None of them were contraband. Indeed, it might be more suspicious not to open a delivery. One might expect a person to open a box delivered if that person's name is on it. After all, that is how murderers deliver mail bombs, right? Mail bombs would not work if all recipients refused to open any package not personally ordered.
