Florida to investigate all COVID-19 deaths after questions about 'integrity' of data



Florida, which has reported the deaths of more than 16,400 people from COVID-19, now says the public may not be able to trust any of those numbers.

In a news release, officials highlighted concerns about 95 deaths reported to the state on Tuesday.

The department said 16 of the deaths occurred more than two months after the person tested positive, and 11 people died more than a month ago.

And in five cases, there was a three-month gap between the time of infection and death.

The state says it just learned about an 85-year-old Palm Beach County woman who died Sept. 27 — 3 1/2 months after she was diagnosed with COVID-19. In another case, an 87-year-old county woman died Oct. 1, more than three months after her positive test on June 25.

The issue involves numerous other counties, such as the new report of a 58-year-old Miami-Dade woman who tested positive June 23 and died Oct. 6.

This is the problem with the media. We have on one hand the gross fear mongering which drastically overstates Covid. And then on the other hand we have things like the above which say there may be a problem with about 100 of the reported 16,400 deaths and because of that we can’t trust any of the other 16,300. Yes the virus is real and real people die, even some healthy young people. And no you absolutely will not die if you leave your house, many do survive, even some immune fragile and elderly people. Those 95 deaths were reported in one day. At least a third of them look suspect.

a good majority of the worlds people, sadly, I think enjoy being treated like todlers and pretending that they fear the flu. I don't know any reasonable person who actually cares about it but they pretend to to "fit in"

Male hypogonadism, defined as an inadequate production of testosterone (T), is associated with a greater morbidity and mortality. Epidemiological studies identified T deficiency as a risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Also, low serum T levels impact on glucose homeostasis through a worse glucose uptake, utilization, and disposal, and the general negative impact on metabolism.

The aim of this review is to provide a comprehensive and updated overview of the effects of T replacement therapy on metabolic and cardiovascular systems and prostate tissue in patients with hypogonadism, including molecular mechanisms through which T exerts its actions.

Furthermore, recent findings on novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) epidemiology have shown a greater mortality in male compared with female patients and a role of T in promoting the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2) infection of the host cells has been demonstrated.

Hence, the secondary aim of this review is to provide preliminary indications on the management in patients with COVID-19.

5-Alpha-Reductase Inhibitors are Associated with Reduced Frequency of COVID-19 Symptoms in Males with Androgenetic Alopecia

We have previously reported that men with androgenetic alopecia (AGA) are more likely to present with severe COVID-19 symptoms, potentially implicating androgen sensitivity as a risk factor for COVID-19.1-3 As such, we hypothesized that 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors (5ARi) may reduce the severity of COVID-19 disease. To test this hypothesis we conducted a retrospective cohort analysis on male subjects with laboratory confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection.

The subjects presented at one of five outpatient clinics (Corpometria Institute Brasilia, Brazil) from June 15 to July 28, 2020. At the time of visit, 29 clinical symptoms associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection were documented. For analysis, male subjects with AGA were selected. The frequency of clinical symptoms in males with AGA using 5ARis was compared to those not using 5ARis.

Among the men presenting at the clinic, 300 were positive for SARS-CoV-2. Of these, 65 had AGA but were not using 5ARis, and 48 had AGA and were taking a 5ARi for at least six months prior to the study. The only 5ARi used in this cohort was dutasteride (0.5 mg) for the treatment of AGA. Propensity score matching analysis was performed on the 65 men in the AGA group not using 5ARis to produce a comparator to the 5ARi group (Area under the ROC curve = 0.548). The baseline characteristics of the matched study groups are displayed in Table I. The Fisher exact test was used to compare the proportions of clinical symptoms between COVID-19 patients with AGA using 5ARis and not using 5ARis. XLSTAT version 2020.3.1.1008 (Addinsoft, Inc.) was used to perform all statistical analysis.

Considering how the cdc said people with Covid and quarantining are ok to go vote I am guessing you can’t catch Covid voting kind of like you can’t catch it rioting.

After seeing the above statement, how many businesses are going to comply with a shutdown or how many govt workers would actually enforce one? Restrictions sure, but lockdowns I bet everyone will ignore. I don’t think any police would enforce it.
