Lockdowns impose more hurt than help. Restrictions and masks yes, but do not force businesses to shutdown and arbitrarily call some people essential and others not. Guess what, if you are the main bread winner in your family your job is essential. Very easy for governors and doctors who get to keep their job to with such “sadness” and “reluctance” tell many family’s sorry about your luck we have chosen you guys to not be essential to our world so we are going to slowly eliminate you. How “compassionate”.
The arbitrary shutdown of business is something srsly fucked up. Here in Italy they are destroying entire families and making ppl poorer by the day.
Let's not forget we had kinda tackled in the Corona before summer then they decided to open up everything again and go full retard because they wanted the tourism business to earn money. They Did ZERO control on ppl and business, no one was really following rules and guidelines but hey who give a fuck right? Now that the situation did worsen they are all: holy cow let's close ummmm gym theater and restaurant! Why? Who the fuck knows! Let's keep the mall and all those useless shops open because... Who the fuck knows!
It's completely random or with no fucking sense. A friend of mine had just opened a restaurant and he is completely broke at the moment. Imagine opening up a business, investing loads of money in it and having it first closed then reopen a bit then closed again. Whole family works in it. Bye bye
Statistic says for herd immunity we would have had to let the covid run rampant and with the mortality rate of around 1,3% in Italy we would have had 800k deaths and then we would have been fine. Everyday I wonder why choosing the lockdown way instead of choosing this way.
I want to believe there is a logical reason behind it and it's not money and power, I don't want to sound like a conspiracy lover because I'm not BUT if your population is unable to follow guidelines like they did in China or Korea, I Believe you need to find an alternative way of dealing with the problem and this one seems to me the easier and most effective one. I mean in the grand scheme of things what's 1,3%?

I agree man, those restrictions were/are the path to some level of normalcy. I am in a place that has a level 5 opening right now. They have done nothing to step it back a little though cases are rising. If they go from 5 to lockdown I am nervous that there will be riots and protests, etc. I mean we can’t act like children and hide under our beds and be scared to live our lives, that is ridiculous, but at the same time some level of respect needs be given the virus. We need to not be foolish on both ends. And the more fear mongering there is,”if you go outside you will absolutely catch Covid and die and pass it to at least 100 people before you die”, the more pushback from the other extreme happens,”it’s all a lie and doesn’t exist”.
Honestly most people I know don’t care about Covid, the only reason they talk about it is because they are scared of a shutdown. They are fine with some level of restriction as long as they can still have the opportunity to work and take care of their families. They would rather take their chance with the virus than face joblessness in this economy.

To top off all the fun...every pneumonia, influenza, etc etc etc death is now a covid death...Anything respiratory is covid...that should “spike” the fatality rate in the weeks to come...have people even more shookethh
